I've tried Gamefly twice now, and from my experience, it's just absolutely horrible. Does anyone here us it, or another place you could recommend? Or do you just use a local store? I usually just buy every game I play, but as I get older, I realize how stupid that is honestly, and from now on, I figure I'll just buy my personal favorites or must buys for a system (mass effect, final fantasy, bad company, etc).

Gamefly is a piece of shit, but the reason i use it is because its the only piece of shit. Slow turnarounds, getting the 8th game on your queue, but still beats buying every game i wanna play or paying 10 bucks for a blockbuster 5 day rental.

I'm still hesitant to go back. You virtually can't get a new release forever. A few games I want to play, but never got around to it are virtually the same price on Amazon for a good used copy that the one month one game a time of 15.95 is. I'll have to think it over, plus the last time I used it, which was two months ago, it took over a week to get Heavenly Blade, which is old.

I was sketchy about them from the get go. When I tried them out I got a new debit card just so they couldn't fuck me. I rented a game from them and sent it back properly and on time. I noticed I hadn't got my second game on time and then got a notice that the previous game was not returned. I canceled the debit card and never used them again, nor will I ever.

In the last year a store called Family Video has been setting up shop here in North Texas. Between them, Netflix, and Gamefly, Blockbuster is tuckin' tail and starting to disappear. Family Video has what I'd like to call reasonable rates, a new release PS3 and Xbox 360 game is $1.25 + tax per night and the same for new release movies. After a month the games are still $1.25 a night but they get rent one get one free stickers on them. They also have a selection that is on par with Blockbuster, out here you don't have to worry about a game being out, if they carry it, it'll be in stock. They also carry a lot of the games Blockbuster wouldn't, like your niche games and what not.

I've never had a negative experience with Gamefly. It really sucks you all have. I guess i've just gotten lucky the last few months.

Back when I used them (about two years ago) I never had a problem with getting my games on-time. I'd return a game and the next one in my list would get sent right away. maybe it varies from location to location.
