I'm looking for a mouse especially for gaming, but i don't know what mouse to use.. on newegg.com i see many different type of mouse.

The one i'm interesting in is this logitech http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826104178 Logitech MX518.

This mouse have 1600 dpi and looks ok, cheap... freeshipping, etc. i can't decide because the logitech one look outdated i know is been out for a while now (2yr?) i don't want to buy and they introduce something new and better after i purchased. Other mouse have 1800 dpi, 2000 dpi and other 4000 dpi @.@, i don't think i'll ever get the razer 4000 dpi one since is $80 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826153020

Any advice will help thx

I'd say get the MX518. I personally still use my MX510 which i've had close to ohh 4-5 years. The thing still works like a champ and its one of the most comfortable mouses i've ever used. The 518 is a step up from the 510 obviously, but i like my shiny redness anyway. Solid mouse.

As a side note, my friend bought a 510 around the same time as me, and later on wanted to try something else and got a razer mouse. I think it was a diamondback but regardless of which one it was he ended up going back to his 510 because its just that sexy.

Also Wired>Wireless

This being a Vand thread, I opened and half expected it to be about a Mouse that plays video games. lol

My mouse pad is really generic, just black. The only thing awesome about it is that its FUCKING HUGE. The thing is like 16inchesx16inches just gigantic. And i like it for gaming because i never have to worry about running off the mouse pad. Also i don't like the mousepads with the gel wrist rest things. The seem to get in the way for me.

I never understood the need for a gaming mouse. Can someone explain?

You don't necessarily need one, but a really good pad can make the mouse movements more accurate.

As for the gaming mouse need romper, in general they offer more accuracy and a higher resolution of movement.

This being a Vand thread, I opened and half expected it to be about a Mouse that hacks FFXI accounts using a JavaScript or ActiveX exploit. lol

fix'd fer ya.

I have one of these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826104203 and I love it. Usually I hate wireless mice because you have to constantly recharge them or get more batteries for them, but the G7 comes with two batteries and a charger. I have one charging while I'm using the other one and just swap them out whenever the one I'm using gets low. It has a better dpi rating than the other logitech you were looking at, but it's also a little more expensive.

I have this too, bought it before I really got into gaming (you don't need a hardcore setup for lolffxi after all anyway..) it's great for contemporary AND advanced uses.

Now I just need to get rid of my Windows 98 keyboard and step up to a g15 :p
