I currently got my coffer key and looking around for the stupid coffer chest....I am camping behind the 3rd banishing gates and i was wondering does the coffer chest move if someone does not get it? please let me know :?: :?: :?:

A coffer will chill out in the same place til the end of time if no one opens it. Once someone opens it, it will respawn at another random location after a certain amount of time.

Coffers do despawn after so much time of not being opened btw... they respawn 30 min. later.

Yup, if nobody opens the coffer it despawns after 30mins and respawns somewhere else. Also, if someone opens it for an AF piece it respawns somewhere else instantly.

But if someone just opens it for whatever (ie astrals in castle O before patch) then it will take 30mins to respawn.

It does not respawn instantly if popped for AF, this is a commonly repeat rumor, that is not true. I have helped get several AF coffers, I'm very good at finding them, and whenever we get more than one at the same spot, the coffer repops at 30 minutes on the dot after being opened for AF. I don't think they respawn if untouched, I'm pretty sure once the coffer in temple of ugg-- spawns in that akward area, it stays there for sometimes over a week. I am damn sure they stick around for more than 30 minutes if they do vanish and pop elsewhere.

I can also confirm they do not respawn intantly after being opened and getting AF from it.

I can report firsthand that treasure chests, if opened for RSE, resapawn within a minute. It may be instant. Perhaps that is the source of this confusion.
