Garlaige Citadel, dead?

So, lately I've been exping solo in GC using the wingrats against the Fallen Evacuees (awesome exp o.o/). ANyhow, I noticed something that was sort of disturbing, compared to my last trip there to lvl in parties...

NOONE WAS THERE.

Both these times I've noticed it was during JP primetime, so, I'm wondering if they know something we don't? Is there some magical better exp spot than Garlaige at that level? I mean, I know there are other exp spots, quite possibly better if Garlaige is full, but I mean I haven't seen a single exp party there in the past two days. Any feedback on this?
 
I've seen parties in altepa, though that place is so spread out that It's hard to tell how many parties are actually there for exp and whatnot. As far as SSG, I exp'd there from like 38-40, didn't see a single party exping there.
 
My static party and i skipped garliage and went straight to altepa, i can only assume that more people are hopping on the bandwagon.
 
You could probably exp in Tavnazia at that level. I did a lot of Bugard farming a while ago and I noticed a few spots in both zones that seemed like they would make good camps. Maybe not for Buggards or Gigantobugards but possible for the orcs and gigas.

I went through Garliage and the Crawlers nest when I was leveling PLD. Then the second time through that level range I was playing WHM and went to Altepa with a sort of semi static. I liked Altepa more, at the very least the change of scenery was nice. Also as people have said it is more spread out, so there is usually a lot less lag.
 
I heard Garlaige was empty too... MY friend said he went through there for Coffer, and didn't see a single party there... I dont understand this... Garlaige is one of my favorite places to level... O.o o.O

I disagree... I think Garlaige is an awesome place to level... I neve rhad a bad PT or any kind of bad experiences there at all... I could have just been the lucky guy...

The bats and beetles there are quite good mobs to exp on at 34-36 as are the beetles in the basement for 49-51. The problems stems from too many people and the hnm in the basement. It's a victim of its own success.
 
Except for occational overcrowding and people training the zone it is a place of wonder! :lol: When I first went there I was scared because of it's reputation but I can honestly say it was pleasant.
 
maybe i'm biased, because the first and only time I leveled there, there were about 3 massive wingrat trains to zone during the first session... you'd just be fighting a bat and then your entire party is dead... then the party next to you... then you see swarms of bats... :shock: kinda not good.
 
Garliage can be some damend nice xp if there is only 1-2 parties there. I also like the bats in the lower level. Think that's how my Thief is getting 49-50.

My BIG problem as my Thief was I kept getting invites to pt's with people two levels higher then me, and add on that we were fighting beetles and ugh.
 
Yeah, I've never had a problem with Garlaige Citadel parties. Exp was always pretty good, and hte only time there was ever a problem was due to trains. But that isn't Garlaige's fault really, it's the idiots that zone a train of 20+ bats.

Either way, I'm kinda glad it's empty. I don't have people screaming at me when I have to take a seige bat in an emergency. only people I have to deal with now are those people looking for keys, killing off all my Evacuee's. *grumble grumble*
 
I dunno...I've only been there twice...Once at level 34, once at level 48. And on the first pull, -both times-, I died. I said i'd never go back after level 34. I'm saying i'll never go back after level 48 -_-. What a horrible and deadly place.
 
I was there last night getting garliage keys. There were two pts there for a little bit, one camping the first banishing gate and one camping the little dead end near the entrance.
