The way I see it, either:


1) Someone's lying big time, and is trying to save face (I seriously doubt this).

2) We've got some account pwnage going on (Bingo).


Either way, big drama, and my eyes are literally bugging out with anticipation. This may be, in fact, the only thread I've ever subscribed to on QCDN. Such is the life of an MMO/Forum nerd. I'd ask you all to kill me for my sheer loserness now, but I'd rather we wait until Super Mario Galaxy comes out.

You don't happen to live with/near a QCDN-goer, do you, Garvin? At any rate, it's interesting to see you with a post-count of 9 and a reputation level of 1.5. o_O
 
After the shittastic moderation on the part of Eleib, I wouldn't be surprised if garvin's claims are true. Admins do indeed have access to people's accounts.

Well, nobody I know who would do anything like that had access to my laptop... ever. That much is out of the question.

A third party figuring out my password or some such and posting as me? Plausable, but if this is the case, I'm hoping Reeve will help me with the authorities, as in that case I can't know the extent of the damage, possible or otherwise.

I stand firm by what I've said though, hopefully there will be something more telling in the logs, once Reeve has a chance to look at them.

Edit: Seeing "Garvin Garvin" from the last post column is weirding me out.

I had rep given to me today (gray box), by user Hoo Mjuu, and they signed it with Garvin's name.


For what that's worth, I thought it was fuct and maybe should be mentioned here.

I think ele's claim that Garvin PM'd him can't really be taken as "evidence". Garvin claims that Ele was on his account, Ele could of easily sent the PM's to all the reds, including himself.


if someone already made this claim i am sorry, still a little sleepy.

Elei wasn't being biased in the Neolink situation. That user was e-stalking at least four or five people from the forums, logging on to private LS forums and harrassing members, bringing up such drama on here... not to mention making the claims that Eleibfrid, myself, and other members of OwMyFace, TheBrotherhood, and some of the major members of QCDN were RMT or engaged in RMT activities (with proof). When he failed to produce such proof, it's obvious he needed to be banned. I honestly don't think Eleibfrid or any of the other mods were being biased in that situation. I would've banned him much earlier.

Whether or not friendship is involved, Garvin did point a finger. It's natural that Eleibfrid would be angry at a deflamation with his character. I've known Elei for a long time and would consider him one of my best friends I've made in the game. I know that this is very beneath him.

Honestly, I still don't have a clear cut idea about what happened in this situation... I hope we get one though.

You can't really bring up past discretions to Elei's character (whether they are sound arguements or, like in your case, complete idiot babble) because he is an admin and a mod and would be at the forefront of any situation at QCDN.

I'm not. The thought of ghey Blancho saving some AIM transcript or some BS for a rainy day, just for the right moment, is a little too.......Exactly what I'd expect.

Why Blancho of all people would have evidence to support anything is the real stumper here. Need we look at how passionately he spoke of his BRD like it/he was 1337? Needless to say, he is severely lacking in the research and testing area. How many examples are there like this? When it comes to providing "evidence" against someone we know he's loving to be hating, given his track record for providing information on subjects he thinks he knows something about, this is when we need to recall every other time he's ever posted anything and realize he doesn't know his head from a hole in the ground.

We'll have to be a little more attentive no doubt. I thought it seemed a little too forward for Garvin but in all honesty I was mildly pleased to see one of the greater mod-haters out of the picture, and I'd suspect I'm not the only mod/admin that felt this way.

No offense Garvin, but you know as well as I that you're pretty much the top of that list.

I never noticed this either until I became admin, mods might have the ability as well though.

That's not much of a hint. If I'm sending a PM to someone but want to wait a couple days for more thoughts to collect, I send it to myself then forward it to the person later. It's not uncommon to forget to delete the "RE:".

I mentioned this on the mod forum too: I haven't yet found an area of the admincp where we can change a user's password. I would suspect we have rights to do this but the option is certainly not easily found. We can change damn near everything else, right down to the date of acct creation/last visit/whatever, but I don't see a pw change option under profile settings.

Eleib is one of the more outspoken mods, if he had that much of a problem with Garvin he'd likely voice it either publicly or privately.

Your system is fairly clean Garvin? I've heard of viruses/malware that decode Firefox's saved passwords and broadcast them to specific channels. It seems far-fetched that it could make a circle this large, but there are ways people can get acct info without ever touching your computer.

On that note, I should probably be more careful of the pr0n I download.

edit: by the way Garvin, I can't change your userID. We know what your old ID is now but there's no option to change your new acct to use your old ID. I don't think we can restore your postcount, nor accurately your rep.
