Ok I need more input on gear choices.

One real main question however helpfull tips would be great.

Dusk gear. Is it worth it, Like hands, legs, feet. I am currently wearing the following
(I am lvl 74)

Head = Ohat
Neck = Spec's
Earings = Suponmimi (sp?), either minuet earing or, +attk earing
Body =SH or Dragons
Hands = Dragons
Ring = Dex rings or snipers depending
Back = Amemet +1
Waste = Life or Warwolf
Legs = Dragons
Feet = Dragons.

Any suggestions would be great.

Is sea accessible to you? Homam/brutal are massive upgrades. Dusk hands>feet>legs are all pretty useful until homam, in that order.

Unfortunatly I do not have Sea access yet. Still working on CoP. Just got done the first mamet(sp?) fight. So the next big fight is ..... Diablos ><

ah.

Go for a sirocco if you haven't gotten one already; the optimum mainhand would be a blau dolch, but that is heavily dependent on your budget, I guess. (various harpes are ok replacements)
other gear I'd suggest--

TP:
head: walahra (obviously)
neck: PCC
ear1: merman's (atk)
ear2: suppa
body: SH/SH+1 (rapparee?)
hands: dusk gloves
ring1: sniper's
ring2: sniper's
waist: swift
legs: dusk (bravo's?)
feet: dusk

WS:
head: nhead > voyager (voyager -> ohat depending on acc)
neck: PCC
ear1: merman's earring
ear2: merman's earring
body: nbody > SH/+1 > dragon harness, depending on acc
hands: nhands > enkidu, idk what else you'd use
ring1: sniper's/dex, depending on acc
ring2: sniper's/dex, depending on acc
waist: warwolf > potent, depending on acc
legs: nlegs > denali/enkidu > dragon
feet: nfeet > denali/dragon

My advice is not specific to THF, but swift belt would be great. It's actually relatively easy to get, 2 bst 50 can kill the Nm and one bst can easily farm codex. While you are at it you can grab a rapparee harness too.

If you can get or have an Assault Static:

Pahluwan Hands and Feet are also a good alternative for a TP (Accuracy) build if you cannot afford Dusk yet.

screw the hands. you can get war gloves for 5k and 5 acc without having to farm 20k AP.

not sure if it's worth mentioning since dusk feet are easy to get but wouldn't it be better to get war boots to tp in and use the dragon for ws?

edit: forgot about assasin poulaines for tp if you have dynamis >,>

I do not think I have access to the area after the Mamet fight, I thought it was after Diablos, or?

In everything except the WS body choice. Unless you have Mercy Stroke of course <,<

Given the body pieces Nec listed, N.Body wins, generally speaking. You can, and should, use different body pieces for different occasions though. I know Necro doesn't use SB very often and neither do I. When I do use SB, I break out the Dragon Harness. For multi-hit WS like Evisceration and DE, I get higher and more consistant numbers with N.Body in almost any application. I'm 5/5 STR if that makes any difference.

I guess it depends if you're stacking SA or TA onto it, but my DE/Evisceration returns are generally better with DH over my N.Body, on anything other than evasive HNMs (Where I'll be using SB for Light anyways)

I don't have 5/5 STR though, so maybe that's the difference.

It could be. Even stacked, I see greater returns with N.Body. In most merit situations, I find splitting all (TA, SA, WS) to be the most effective. Higher level MOBs, things are much different.

@mj
consistency > small damage increase; I only use meat, idk about you.

Kind of on the same note. I have a question for the veteran THFs.

I am not necessarily concentrating on end-game/lvl 75 THF due to me only being 56. My question is in the mid-lvls(60+) what I should gear for on WS? Right now I stack all the DEX I can for VB, but DE is just down the road for me. I am using a haste build (R.Harness, S.belt, Bravos) and eat sushi. Basically im looking at how much Acc should I shoot for on WS?

To OP:

I am regurgitating this, as I say it a billion times:
Haste is always worth it. An example: 50% Haste is often misunderstood as a 50% increase in hits, it's actually a 50% decrease in delay, effectively increasing your amount of hits by 100%. If you have a 200 delay weapon, and 50% haste, you now have a 100 delay weapon.

To Etch Dog:
Depending on what food you use, and the circumstances at which you use the WS, your gear may vary. If you're SA'ing, or TA'ing(post 60) the WS and/or using sushi, use more Dex/Str/Attack gear(in no particular order there btw). If you're using meat, I suggest using Acc gear. Whne I was leveling thief there literally was only 1 option for a lot of this shit... If you want a more opinionated answer that's more definative: "Use sushi, WS in Dex/Str gear, never WS without latchign it to SA or TA, and tp in Haste > all."

Yeh I was looking for a definative answer. I am not really lvling to have all the situational gear avail. Pretty much all I will be using THF for is soloing/farming/nms when it gets 75. I just wanted a reference point to say, for DE you may want to keep acc rings on, or use SH over flora cotahardie, or whatever. Really, the question is, how much acc gear do I need to keep on now that I get a multi-hit WS.

Thanks

To vaguely answer your question, only wear enough accuracy to consistently land all the hits on DE. However, seeing as how you're eating sushi, you'll probably need a minimal amount. From personal experiences, I've found that to get higher and more consistent numbers I'd gear for Accuracy and Attack first and foremost. DEX/STR/AGI in the remaining equipment slots.

For starters, before you start an XP session, equip your typical WS gear and eat food. The ideal goal here is to get the mob to con "Low evasion and defense." If possible, slowly equip increments of accuracy until the mob cons low evasion. Afterwards, equip attack until it cons neutral or low defense. Keeping in mind, that if it still cons High Defense, it may be better to stack DEX/STR/AGI in those attack slots.

The problem with DE and probably all the other multi-hit WS, is that fact that it varies from race to race and from mob to mob. Also, the level difference between yourself and the mob is equally important. Your WS gear should change according to the mob you are fighting and the level difference. As you start to close the level gap and mobs start conning VT, adding more Attack and DEX/STR/AGI will yield better results.
