well i just talked to gamestop and gears of war will be in tomorrow!!!! CANNOT WAIT AT ALL!!! been hyped up for this game for awhile its gonna be THE game to play for awhile.

Not to mention xbox live has gone to great lengths to make "Emergence day" aka release day a true event. while playing online youll be able to link up and play with the band Megadeath.

A new sony 5.1 surround system and tons tons more to do.
thats why i love the new live. They actually put effort into making their games more of an experience than just getting it and playing it.

then i find that game stores are now taking pre-orders for HALO 3!! its listed as a guesstimate november 2007 release, but rumors still push for march 2007 from two inside anonymous people from microsoft, which im really hoping for. having to wait a whole year for this game of all games would suck.
but the legendary package looks awesome! its what im gonna preorder.

Tons of amazing games coming the 360 way, i preordered lost odyssey...due in may lol.
system is getting better and better and so much time gonna be put in to gaming.
But i cannot wait for these two titles...dont be surprised if i disappear after tomorrow...
 
Heh, Gears of War will be great. I've been waiting for that to come out since launch. And although I don't work for Microsoft, I do know a few people that do, and they have hinted at an earlier release than November, which is why they are doing pre-orders now.
 
Edit: Never mind just pre-ordered GoW and Halo 3 legendary. My 360 tag is RaidrX if anyone wants to hit up GoW online tomorrow.

I just picked Gears of War up and it's amazing. There is a slight learning curve due to the fact that the A button is used so much which I'm not quite used to.

The Graphics are amazing, gameplay is amazing, and overall it's fun. I'm not far into it being that I keep dying, be it by Locust gunning me down for not taking cover or me doing something dumb like tossing a grenade and it bouncing off the wall and me trying to dive out the way blowing myself up.

How did you pick yours up already? My store said it wont be in until tomorrow. Lucky you i guess. You play online at all yet?

The EB games that I go to got it this afternoon around 2pm. Their district manager drove to memphis this morning to pick them up and delivered them to all the stores in the area.

I have not been online yet, but plan to do so here in just a few minutes. I made a small video of the single player. nothing special. I added music to it due to the fact that my comp has no sound card. The game looks 100X's better on my TV then it does on my computer. I'll post a link as soon as it finishes uploading to youtube.
 
played a deathmatch (Warzone) online and it was pretty cool. 4 vs 4 isnt that bad and there is nothing like tearin someones face up with the chainsaw lol. The Locust side ended up leaving before the end of the map due to my ownage (4 kills 3 downs 0 revives 126 points) Downs is taking someone down to their knees I am assuming. My only death came by way of a chainsaw to the face.. they say what goes around comes around.
 
Yeah i was watching some online clips on Gametrailers.com i cant wait to pick my copy up tomorrow... only i have to work until 9 so i wont be on till later. Ill add you guys up when i get home and we can have a QCDN party.

Also any of you guys planning on doing the Emergency day thing? Hopefully i can get some good playtime in before it and hit some tourneys up or something.
 
ill be playing ALL DAY come emergence day, i want that top spot in the 24 hour leaderboards so i can win some shit!!
 
gamestop is gonna suck my balls today because them and eb games didnt get their shipments.
So im going to get my fuckin money and goin to a store that has it, cause every store has it...but them.

Some of the stores didn't get their shipments because of the shipping company (FedEx, I think). I don't know if it's the same situation or not in your area, but I doubt it's our fault....
