Whats the general concensus on this? Awesome?
 
the best game ever made ever.
The graphics are like nothing any system has ever seen. It literally uses EVERYTHING 360 has to offer. In fact, Its becase of gears of war that it has 512MB memory, because originally it was 256 and when microsoft saw what gears of war could do and that 256 wouldnt cut it...they upped it.
Im tellin ya, this game is well worth the money and just a taste of the rising empire of the wii60 generation!
 
The reviews I've read have been glowing, putting it in the 90%-100% ratings range with plenty of "Game of the Year" buzz. I tried to pick up a copy yesterday, but shipping problems have screwed over a lot of stores on the eastern side of the country.

I ended up buying Final Fantasy XII instead, a move Neyla said was something only a communist would do. I'll try getting GoW again later today.
 
Gears of War is definately one of the best games I have played on the 360. I mean Cabelas Alaskan Adventure is fun, but it aint got nothin on this =P lol. Seriously though, its well worth the money. Graphics are awesome, controls are very responsive (little learning curve if you are not a big shooter fan), voices are great, and the amount of blood that is shed is just... damn, i cant even begin to tell you.
 
Its absolutely amazing. I really can't describe it. Check some reviews on other sites, they might be able to put my feelings into words. ^^

Lets just say this. If Zelda, Red Steel, Resistance: Fall of Man or any other game even wants a sniff at Game of the Year they're going to need to be flawless.
 
I picked up a copy today and watched Neyla play all the way through the mine level. Holy... freaking... god... This game is amazing on all levels. It's like kill.switch mixed with everything that made Resident Evil 4 awesome, and with a little bit of James Cameron's Colonial Marines from Aliens for good measure. If you have a 360, it's a must-own.

For sure, im not even through the first level yet and its Insane, im pretty sure they even have "TRIPLE T" TERRY TATE all up in this bitch BABY(cole lol). Amazing, and i havent even played online yet.
 
Roomie is playing it, I'm not so sure what all the fuss is about. Sure the graphics are good, for a console, but other than that this game is nothing more than a combo of a newer Unreal with Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon gameplay. Someone help me out here O_o
 
Playing Coop with chasym right now, idk i think this game is awesome, once you get the controls down its sweet. Online is a blast too, coming up behind some dude and chainsawing him or executing downed people, its just sweet.

And that is why I cant get ahold of Chasym wanted to Co-op with him... Oh well.

Lol, the commentary in game was hilarious. Can't beat shooting some bitches and have a laugh while your at it.

I wish I could play online with you guys, but I just moved... I dont even have a router yet, OR high-speed internet. I'm bumming it off my neighbors illigaly at the moment.

its cool, I get home around 7pm cst but got static again. maybe saturday evening after work?
 
if you look up most of the games coming out....360 certainly isnt going the way of xbox 1...this system has alot to offer.
very much worth it. im getting on shortly!
