Sorry, but I'm not seeing how "Jap" is racist. That's like "Paki" is supposedly racist too, but I'm not seeing that one either. It's a shortened version of Japanese (or Pakistani), sounds like you're looking for an excuse to be offended.
 
My LS has dealt with Ged many times, our first incident was in Xarc. He seemed kinda pushy and very irritable, but after a few runs he seemed to be willing to work with us. Last month he was nice enough to swap a zone with us that we approached him about. His english isn't all that understandable but thanks to the nifty translator we were able to get our trading terms across. Usually from what I've noticed his shell starts anywhere from 12-1 AM Est on Saturdays. We often get tells asking how much longer, we give em a time and he seems cool with it. As for some kinda of agreement between NA and JP Shells, this is the first I've heard of it. I just give them the respect I want in return and it usually works out.

I agree that the word "Jap" (or "Paki") isn't racist in itself, but when used in reference to anyone who's asian ("Jap") or middle eastern ("Paki") can be.
 
Isn't it just a shortened form of the word? I don't understand why it's racist either really.

It's kinda like Lucki said it's how you use the word...I'm on of those so called "Paki's" and my friends used to say it to me in a joking way all the time. It all depends on the context it's used in.

Educate yourself. It isn't just a shortening or an abbreviation. Its the same context as calling a black person a Ni**er. Its not a good thing trust me.
