On September 26, 2007, Geneon's United States branch announced that they were withdrawing from distribution in North America and canceling all DVDs in that particular region after November 6, 2007.[2] On October 6, 2007, they also announced the closure of their official online fanclub, Geneon Spot.[3]
Im a bit annoyed because that Hellsing Ultimate is in limbo as well as other Geneon titles like Black Lagoon(Although I have yet to view this title). Its a bit annoying because Hellsing was just getting really good. I love the fact that this version follows the Manga very closely and is going further than the previous Anime which created its own enemy Incognito.
Im pretty sure such an outstanding title like this will get picked up by another distributer since its sales are intense in Japan and America. I think the wierdest part of this whole thing is that they even halted release of the JP volume IV until early next year from october this year.
