I made the post on QCDN events scheduling asking for help with Genkai 2, as I had hit 55 and wanted to progress further. I had heard that G2 is nasty, and you need an aliance and tons of other bad things, but I had also heard it was soloable.
Not long after the post I got a tell ingame from Bajaratt saying he can solo it if I am free, so we head off to Xarc(tab) and to the Boreal Hound, it was going alright, but methane breath was taking 400 of my 500ish hp a time, and I ended up face down in the snow, soon after Baj ended up face down in the snow also as I couldn't heal. (Sorry Baj ><)
So I contact everyone I could think of to help me with this, or possibly raise me and Baj, luckily a friend from my LS said she could, and was on her way, so I relaxed a bit, and I notice Baj is DCing. Poop. So I got a raise off my friend, and we waited to see if Baj came back, my friend walked her dog, and I got a coffee, came back to find I had DCd now, and my friend was outside killing elementals for fun. But killing the Hound were 2 BSTs, one 74, one 55 (I think) and they were taking damage, I threw a few heals and they sent me an invite, I accepted and healed them, we were winning and. . . . I took a methane breath to the face and ate snow.
Arse.
So my RDM friend came back, and my DRK friend who also needed G2 turned up aswell. I suggested that all 5 of us do the mobs, and we would more than likely fly through, so we killed the hound again, I got my frigicite, the DRK missed it and it re-popped and chased him about before we took it down for the third time.
We then wandered about Xarc(tab) and killed the other two Boreal critters and got the other two lumps of frigicite, so I completed G2 at last.
Big thanks to my LS, The 2 BSTs (Any BST for that matter, you guys go through hell for that job.) Baj (sorry for the XP loss >.<) and a massive thanks to everyone who offered help in the thread I made on event scheduling!
