If you are level 50+ and expect damage dealers to have at some point gotten basic equipment and use food, don't invite Genkaku.

No food, Noct Gear, NOT EVEN HQ!!! Many pieces out of date. Stupid pieces, like +evasion earrings. Why? Why?

He can't SATA. He fucks up SATA about 3 out of 4 times, and when it hits, it's so weak it usually doesn't turn the monster.

Well, I decided I'd stay and level and never party with him again, because we'd gone all the way out to Boyahda Tree. Until a few hours in, the Boyahda Tree Coffer Key dropped.

Ninja needs it, Thief doesn't. He lotted against me, before it autolotted I asked him why. He said cause he needs it.

I told him so. In fact, he damn well knows it, because he picked a coffer earlier. He said he needs to for money.

But he's a THF... he can pick em...

He said he didn't want to waste gil on picks. And I pointed out he didn't seem to want to waste gil on food either. Or basic gear. We got into an argument, and he basically showed he was a 12 year old who didn't a give shit about other people. So I left the party.

So just a warning, avoid this guy. He is a waste of a slot, and a waste of a human being.

This right here got me. What an asshole, he out of ALL people, can pick the damn coffer, you probably cant, and what does this good and honest human being do? He fucks you over the 1st chance he gets.

That was a great party we had out there. I'm glad this guy wasn't in it.
We did pretty good.
 
I pted with him too on my BLM I was 44 and he was 47. Yeah, his gear was extremely crappy. Seriously WTF does a thf need eva for? not like he's ever going to get hate with what little dmg he does outside of SATA (which, it's true, he doesn't seem to have mastered even at lvl 47-50 WTF!) He missed so much on regular hits that it would be impossible for him to get hate even if the rest of the pt was killed. The mob would probably just look at him, laugh and walk away. He never used food and he had gimped weapons and no acc gear so every SATA he did either missed or did so little dmg that it was laughable. I'll admit that my dmg was pretty gimped too but that was because i was on the low end of the pt that was fighting IT ++ to 47. I had an excuse (as lame as it was) he did not. I love the excuse he gave "i'm broke, I don't have any money." YOU'RE A FREAKING THF!!! you've got TH2!!! Go farm for a day or three and you'll have plenty of money. Not only was he gimped he was also pretty stupid too. He didn't understand most of what a PT was doing and questioned their motives on EVERYTHING. he even asked WHY we were doing a SC. WTF! He missed regular hits so much that when we tried to put HIM in a SC it didn't work out vcause he hit 100% tp like once every 3 fights.

His sub was gimped too. It was like 4 lvls under.
 
ARG!!! These morons need to stop making Thief job look so bad!
 
you don't really have that much.. do you? O.O if so.. can I borrow it for my relic upgrade? :D
 
I'm not defending this sad excuse for a thief. But there is nothing wrong with evasion + during pulls especially without /nin as the choosen sub, as long as one switches back to their tp or SATA gear depending on what they're doing.

He sure does sound like a moron though.

1. Evasion equips during battle
2. Missed SATA more than he hit it
3. Lotted a coffer key he'll probably give up on when someone needed it.
4. By 50ish pretty much all thieves should have hairpin and LL by now if not already, even poor gimp lazy bums should've been able to save up for those items by this point. If you came this far as a thief chances are you wish to keep going. Normal type noct gear huh? lol
5. Questioned having a SC, AS A THIEF? I live by the skillchain, this just doesn't make sense. We get invited largely due to a big WS+SC+MB, again this guy must be a damn moron with no sense of how thief, much less the game functions.
6. When he did hit SATA, I'm guessing about 200 damage if he wasn't turning the mob around? Yuck.
 
Actually, it's photoshopped. Take out my birthday, and that is how much gil I REALLY have.

I'm sure his equipment isn't as bad as Gaidenn's (he is a lvl 56 nin)

He had:
San D'orian Ring (Have'nt seen one of those since valkurm)
Level 40 Katanas
No back piece
Level 30 Dino gear

If he can't afford better armor than that.... how the heck is he supposed to afford the ninja tools. It's a scary thing....

We had the DRK pull cause aparently he didn't know what linking and aggroing was. We had to zone about 4 times in quicksand caves because of antica aggro/links and beetle links . . . . .AND THAT WAS IN THE FIRST 20 MINS HAHAHAHAHA.

I have to vote Aidyn as my favorite THF of all time, not only is he a helpful former ls member and good friend but he also kicks ass. Eva gear on pulls, emnity gear for SATA, acc gear between so he builds TP like a Mofo. I only had the opportunity to PT with him twice on my NIN cause he doesn't really xp much these day (or so it seems) but DAMN he's good =P

I agree with everything but this....how is he a waste of a human being cause he sucks at a game? A little over board I think.

and this is why we need to put the stupidest label warning on everything for a society that reads too deep into everything. Heres a few examples :lol:

There is a clear line in my mind between those with poor skill and those with poor morals. Being unable to perform SATA makes him an unaffective thf. Not having the proper gear makes him an unaffecctive party member. Overcuring at start of a battle and pulling too much hate and dying is a bad WHM.
Lotting on a coffer key he doesn't need and acting like a total dickhead afterwards and breaking the party by pissing the tank off enough he leaves... is simply a selfish asshole. He could have been the best thf in the world and it'd still be so. Trying to MPK your own party member makes you a bad human being.

And the fact that this whole page about lil ol me is on a site id never go to. is kinda sad, all this because i had a lowsy day with SATA, had to sell my +3 DEX dagger to get some cash for myself, and that i lotted oon yoru key awwww boo hooo hooo awww want a tissue? or do you need some water to douse the fire on your prelit tampon? your gonan flame me for a few posts all cuz i was a bad thf and now im a worthless humban being? only sad thing i see here is a lil taru who actually takes the time to make a whole post about me cuz u got beef. you really gotta start takin Xanax or something dude. Its FFXI, if i was standin beside you durin WW2 and i fucked up i can understand, but you dont wanna pt with me again cuz i didnt do well? awwwwww heres a though, take your lips off your moms tit, and reality check yourself that this is a game.
