He did of heart failure earlier today in Santa Monica.
I loved him in Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure/Bogus Journey and Kevin Smith films and his comedy specials, and will miss his humor.

RIP George Carlin

Two threads, posting in both because George Carlin was that fucking awesome.

RIP George. One of the best ever.

He was like a father to me :(

He was like a father to me in this thread too :(

He was at his best from '80-'95, but I'd consider him one of, if not the best comedian ever .. if you're not a devout Christian.

Definitely one of greatest comedians of this age.
Can't say I'll see ya on the other side. And that's just fine.
/salute

I was just about to post this.

This totally ruins my night. I actually feel a tear coming on. Definitely one of my favorite comedians, glad I got the chance to see him perform live.

RIP George a philosopher more than a comedian. thanks for many years of laughter

I love the bit he did a few years back about how he decided to worship the sun -- because he could actually see the sun -- and then decided to worship Joe Pesci instead.

Joe bless you, George.

sadness perhaps the greatest comedian ever..

nuuuuu :( he was my favorite comedian

He was my all time favorite comedian. I was fortunate enough to see a live show of his in Vegas a few years back. I will miss his humor very much.
