I have a question, do any of you know the requirements to get the wind crystals from the guilds to carve your name into the item you want to sign?
I have a gift for a loved one I want to sign. The casters ring from the quest 'fit for a princ(ess)'. If someone could tell me, I'm leveling my cooking, if any of you can fill me in on what I might need to do to get it filled out. Thank you.

You needto be a...uhm..Novice, I believe. It's L30s range of a craft. Then you can buy the crystals for 200 guild points.

You buy Special Crystals from the Guild Rep. Usually in a corner somewhere. For Woodworking (I'm assuming your after WW since you ask for Wind) it's some guy standing across from the old bag who never seems to finish that diagram of the Crossbow.

I don't remember offhand what level your craft must be to begin the slavery and pain that is GP exchange, but I'm guessing it's 30 or 40. Keep in mind, the Special Crystal is used to make the synth. YOU DO NOT get to make something, and then sign it. The Special Crystal can be broken as well, so beware.

If your after Alchemy (my dark love affair with this craft is sure to be the death of me) the GP Rep is the only Taru in the Guild.

Cooking is a Taru right outside the Guild.

Those are the only ones I remember atm. :/ Good Luck with your synth.:paladin:

I misread that as "Cooking a Taru right outside the Guild." It was a lot more amusing that way. :butcher:

Hmm...I saw someone with the rare/ex ring (casters ring) on with her b.f.s sig name on it. She told me to get the special crystal to be able to sign it. Do I have to do wood work to get the wind, I'm currently doing cooking?

Nah. Once you are a slave...err....member of your guilds exchange program you can get any crystal you want. Sorry for the confusion, I just assumed you were in WW. :/ {Please forgive me}

Rappa: Being a Mithran BLM, I have decided the only way to truly become powerful is, in fact, to cook and consume a fully matured Tarutaru. Maybe you didn't misread it afterall. Muuwahahahahaha:assassin:

Nope. Just need 30+ish in a craft and you can buy any of the crystals. And turning Castor's Ring into a signed one is a 0-cap, 100% success rate if I remember right.

*edit* - Castor/Pollux Ring are the only items in the game that synths into itself, so signing them kindof applies differently than every other item.

Hey, don't worry about it. It's okay. I still need to know if I can sign it even if it's already made. I'm trying to get 30-40 cooking by next weekend then get GP's to get the crystal and sign the ring for my g.f. by x-mas. Hehe Merry X-mas.
