Getting a girl in r/l

We'll reading through some of the posts here, people say they're at a certain point in life to get a girlfriend and then they just do. Seriously how do you people do it. Im a real real shy bugger so i dont have much luck when it comes to pulling girls in real life, internet is fine but the internet is different, i just can not do it in real life. How the booger do you people do it !?
 
Well I dont know if im the best person to tell ya atm (having my own girl problems.) But the best way for me to meet girls and talk to them is just to treat them like a person.

I know it might sound a little strange but if you like someone, dont treat them like there the hottest thing in the world, just treat them like they are human and you should do fine. 8)
 
That "asshole" thing doesnt work all the time. Might get you laid but if you want to be friends or actually have a good relationship just be yourself.

Seriously though, the best way to get a girl is to not try. Be open, keep your eyes peeled in case someone is interested, but overall, don't go searching like you NEED it. If you do that, you'll end up with a girl who is more of a title then a quality girlfriend.

cythe you must note that technique only works on jersey hoes... btw in case you didn't know adding a g/f to your r/l you might as well say good bye to mmorpg's unless she's into it, other wise fuhget about it
 
I agree completely. Best thing to do is not go after a girl, just occasionally flirt and watch for signs. Also, if you want to try to meet someone or have a conversation with them, Pay attention to your surroundings.

For example:

You see a cute girl and she is wearing an OU shirt, you might want to say something like " Do you go to OU or are you just a fan?"

pretty much thats it and dont bs with a girl, she will see right thru it if you do.

cottoned on to that a while ago but seriously i would rather give up all mmorpgs and meet someone

It's not my method, lol. It's just the one I see most people using. Pretty funny that it works so well for most people. Not just on 'jersey hoes' as you say.

And I don't believe you should have to give up something you like if you get a girlfriend. If you're dating a girl who actually means something, I highly doubt she'd make you quit the game. Now if you started blowing her off for the game, it'd be another story.

But seriously, just be happy with yourself right now. Be positive, be a good person. Don't look for a girlfriend just because they're pretty or popular. If you find someone you really like, be open with her. try to find someone you really connect with. Although, this sounds pretty far out, since no one really finds the perfect girl on the first run through.

And no, you shouldn't have to give up your hobbies. I personally love video games, love FFXI, love anime, love all that good nerdy stuff. Though I'm not like the general population I guess, I'm sure you can find something you have in common with a girl. You shouldn't have to change for her, and she shouldn't have to change for you, but you have to be willing to give up a little of your time to be with her.

Good luck, it'll be hard, but it's worth it, I'm always around to talk if you need it.
 
Well thing i really struggle with is talking to someone for the first time. I have no idea what to say. I get told im a nice guy in real life and on the internet, and that "girls prefer shy guys" but seriously i dont see that fact being proven

Confirmed it works on TX, AL, FL, GA, TN, CO, PA as well... That I'm sure of.
 
Talking to girls for the first time gets easy with practice. Like I said before, use your surroundings or things you know the girl likes and talk about it. Just dont act like someone else and things will go well.

and yes the asshole thing does work in TX
 
Just try to relax, it's hard to talk to anyone really. I know I've screwed up talking to people, made a complete ass of myself, and I still think about it every day. But you just need to take a deep breath and do it, talk to someone, you'll feel better after.

They also say that girls like smart guys... I've yet to have a girlfriend, lol. I even asked a girl out a few years ago, she was a great friend of mine and I was told she liked me, too... guess not, since she denied me.

The thing is, you have to be you. I'd never even dream of not being me, and I have a LOT of friends that are girls. In fact, I have like 5 female friends for every male friend I have.

Cythe, so true about your edit..lol. That's the way it seems nowadays... and girls are always so stupid to fall for it. Then the become all paranoid and scared of the next one.

And it's true, just don't try so hard. IT all tends to fall into place for some strange reason. I don't really have too much to add. I have a lot of female normal friends and they're all about finding someone who isn't a jerk and doesn't come on so strong.

And on a side note... Cythe, you write in your sig everytime? lol.. (i'm just curious since my quote caught your sig.)
 
I know it sounds cliche, but you definatly want to be friends with them first. The best thing to do is look around your current surroundings (ie: school, job, whatever) and just be a cool relaxed normal dude.

It's much easier to talk to a girl about things that are in common with you both. For instance, if you like a girl at school say something like, "Damn this class is hard, do you understand this stuff?" or if it's a girl at work say, "Man, they got me working a double shift, don't you hate that?"

Jumping to the "friend-stage" is fairly easy. The hard part comes when you want it to level-up to a "girlfriend-stage", but you should know by then if it's even a possibility by that point anyway. Just take it slow, and she won't think that all you want is her nekkid.

By becoming friends first, you can learn if she is even someone you want to be with anyway (and vice versa). You definatly need to get a line of communication open, and it's easiest to talk about something that is related to you both. I personally use the "humor-card" to get to be friends with girls. In my experience, if you are a normal-funny-cool-dude, chicks will like you.
