Getting married at 19 :O

Sorry in advance Novolo, I just have to say this. And again I hope everything turns out beautifully for you two :)

lol? <_<

Is this really what people have come down to now? Sex compatibility? D:

Whatever you may not find it important, but I'll be damned getting hitched to someone who can't do F'all for me in the bedroom, shit... do you really not understand HOW important sexual relations between a husband and wife are?? People get divorced for that reason alone, people go to counseling for years to work on their sexual relationship/compatibility..I don't know.. yea maybe I'm shallow to want a great sex life ALONG SIDE my husband.

Shame on me!

AND to add, men have it friggin easy okay, so don't give me this shit! Men can get off easily, it's physical, women as you are all well aware (or are in the learning stages as women teach you lol) that WE, as women, tend to require something a little more emotional, mentally driven...

**care to add anything??**

I would like to add that I am hungry.

Can you help me out Mor?

sex life is extremely important in a relationship, for both women and men, so I have to agree with Morcheeba.

While sex shouldn't be the basis of a relationship a healthy sex life in a marriage is very, very important. Yes the sex drive usually goes down after you've been married for a while and one day you will be too old to do it. It's a great way to relieve stress and stress can kill a marriage. It also boosts your self esteem. Nothing says, "Honey you're still sexy" like a good humping. Unfortunately not everyone is a great lover but a good spouse will be willing to learn how to please their mate. That's why sex toys sell so much. Even if someone wanted to wait until they are married to have sex, there are ways of telling if your fiance would be a great lover. The way that they are attentive to your needs, the way that they dance with you, their willingness to learn new things, and the way that they kiss are a few ways.

When you said "stationed" I assume you are in the military. As a fellow service member I feel I should reflect back to you somethings I have seen all to common with young marriages.

Back it up to BCT. When you are in basic, you think about all the things back home you have taken for granted. You miss your family. I know while I was in basic and medic school I missed Raesvelg terribly. There is a really strong emphsis in family life in the military. Which, don't get me wrong is very important. I can not speak for the other branches, but the Army holds it pretty high up there. I know it rubbed off on me a lot. Hell, I even wanted to run home and get married right away. Then again, I am 23 and have been with Raesvelg for about 4 years and we have lived together for almost 2 of those.

Fast foreword a few months later and I am stationed at Fort Sam Houston, TX for combat medic school. I could not believe the people, mostly 19-21 year olds getting married while there! There was a couple, who had just met in my platoon who got married after only knowing each other for 2 months. Both young as well. Hope everything works out for them, I really do but damn two months. For some others in my company who wed, not even a month later, they were already having problems.

Last example I will use is my older brother. My brother joined the Marine Corps right after high school. At age 19 he married with his highschool sweetheart and the two of them bought a house in North Carolina outside his duty station. He was gone a lot. The military does that. She was enrolled for school in a local university. She was lonely. They did the stupidest thing and in less than 2 months after being married, she got pregnent. Everything at their home fell apart with him not being home so she moved back to Delaware to be with her family. My brother, a great marine with a great future ahead of him, left after his four years to come home and try to make his marriage work. They decided to have another baby. Less than 5 years after being married, my brother and his wife are no longer together.

I see stories like my brother's happen one too many times with young married couples especially with a spouce being in the military. Take my word for it and please wait. Live together for awhile and see how that works. You are 19. If you decide to go through with this best of luck and I wish you happiness. Just make sure you are making smart choices.
