Getting Parties late at night

Does anyone else have a hell of a time getting a party after 11:00 pm PST? I got top of the line gear and I still could wait all night for an invite. Do you have any tips for getting JPs to invite you to a party?

I know how you feel <.<; I party early morning to afternoon (3 AM - 5 PM EST), and it's impossible to get a party before 1 PM EST...

And easiest way to party with Japanese is to either learn japanese, or start your own party and get a japanese to join, and ask them to ask other japanese players.
 
I party from 8am - 2pm usually.
My lvls are in my sig, look me up sometime Uzor.

I'm working on smn right now, But I wouldn't mind buying gear for my Sam, Rng, Nin, or pld. I also have (more than decent) gear for my Blm.
 
cool. yea... i try to party in the morning, 9am-12pm PST and i get parties withen minutes. i guess i will just have to switch my schedule and pretend to JP at night.
 
I sometimes play late like that and it is hard to get a party, but when you do get a party camps are nice and there is rarely anyone out i notice. All thought my job is easier to party being i am a RDM and lvl 54 , compared to MNK.
 
you should be a whm i get nothing but invites ;p
 
lot time there are alot of party you dont notice it and other time there lot people lfg just no certain type of job ie rdm, tank, healer.

Have a decent comment that gives some indication you know what you're doing (ie what weapons you can use etc).
Work on having your Rank as high as possible for the level you're at.
Have access to all expected levelling areas for your level (ie at 43, you really need the Altepa Crystal) and have that in your comment too...
Don't sit in CN waiting for a party. JP parties form in Jeuno and break in Jeuno...

...and have something you can do to keep yourself occupied while you wait. Even doing everything right doesn't guarantee you a party late at night...
 
man, i live in hawaii okay. i have the HARDEST time finding a party after 8pm. although the JP players are uber good :lol:
 
Try living in Japan... If I wanted a party I'd have to wake up early enough to play with the NA's. As soon as 1pm hits, I know I won't get another invite till at least 11pm my time when you guys are back online. Only reason I hit 75 was because I met a Japanese guy from the island I'm on and he thought I fit his static, so, he and his crew took me from 70-75.
 
One thing that pisses me off is how lets say you have been Seeking all night and then you say "Fuck it im going to bed"

then type /shutdown
about the time you say goodbye to your LS and the shutdown counter is at 5 seconds remainind you get a /tell <party> <intrest> and your Like WHAT THE HELL NOT FAIR!!!!!!! as if fate has smote thee

and before you can respond your screen goes black, You become enraged and Punch you computer screen

That angers me to no end
 
I'm also late night gamer, usually between 10pm-3am central.

What I do is, or course, put my seek up. Then I /sea all whm 43-47. That way I can see if there are any in the area, and also see how many parties are going at my lvl. If I can't convince one of them to start a party with me, I then send /tells to the ones in a party. <Hello> <Excuse Me> <Invite To Party> for replacement <Thank You>. A lot of times they will keep me in mind, and send an invite when another DD leaves.

If I'm able to find a whm that is willing to start a party, I then go to tanks. First paladin, becuase I prefer them over ninjas. Then ninja, and last, and least war/nin.

If all else fails I sub thf, put in my search comments that I do have a war sub, and go farming.

I've really found that the lack of other people seeking that late works in my favor. Even if someone hates drks they'll usually invite me for lack of other choices. Plus I've been gaming at those hours for nearly a year now, so a lot of the late night people either know me, or recongnize my name. I don't have top of the line gear, but I'm getting there, and I know my job.

LOL I can relate to this. I was seeking for hours, took flag down knowing I did not enough time to party as it was getting late. About 40 mins later, I'm logging for the night, less than 5 seconds to logout, then I get a blind tell asking to party. Mind you my flag went down 40 mins ago....
 
As odd as it may seem...
Don't seek, put up a comment for EXP party, and you may have a higher invite rate.

I know this sounds very far off, but surprisely till this day I can't explain why when you don't seek you get invites, but when you do...no one wants ya. LOL

Oh yea, if you get a racist JP group...call them racists in japanese. :twisted:

I did that once, and now I get more JP invites. (lol)

Onward to real advice: The search comments help for EXP parties.
If you know what you want as someone stated earlier, and put it in auto-translate...it helps a little.

I do the same just like the guy in the previous post too.
Sub THF, and go farming.

You may get a pt invite. They may take you in with current sub if they really need it or even ask if you can use your current..but at least you will have something to do in the meantime cause I know waiting for pt invites and not doing anything does suck. Any down time sucks. Especially if you are like myself where you like to get the best of every minute in something. :D "Time is of the essence!"
