Alright....I'm trying to get my crafts balanced out...to expand my range of available recipes. And I've found that leathercraft is a lot of money! Holy hell....already lost like 15K(although probably due to my stupidity...but whats done is done =()

Anyways...as of now I am lvl 2 skill, and here is what I have planned until lvl 11:

2-4: Sheep Wool
4-7: Rabbit Mantle(synth and desynthing)
7-11: Solea(synth and desynthing)

Is this a good plan? I know that I will probably need to farm a lot, but I'll just use it as an excuse to lvl thf and rng. I'd just like some advice from a higher level leatherworker. Thanks.

Next step, Sheep are friends, not wool...

Great idea, wool is easy and the price for Wind Crys is cheap. However, instead of rabbit mantles, (although you get them like crazy) is not the best option, if your looking for a return, I would invest the time and money on Drk Crys, tea leaves, and water and make sheep leather. Easy as heck, and more important, you can save these stacks and just right into higher crafting right after, or, simply sell them for a heafty profit. Besides, konstat is a great farming area, you can pick up gobbie masks and de-synth for more sheep leather, farm the almost worthless Earth ele's for your Solea, or if you get over run with Mary hunters killing your sheep and throwing away the drops, you can move to rams and Ltn Ele's and make some cash and top off you Inv before you choco back :)

Hope some of this helps, and stay with it!

Sheep Leather caps at level 2.

1-7: West Ronfaure, Camp Jaggedy-Eared Jack and kill rabbits. Collect 5 Rabbit hides and steal a grass thread off of the Goblin Weavers.
-5 Hides + 1 Grass Thread + Earth = Rabbit mantle.
-Put it in your Bazaar for 100g, or desytnth it.

7-10: Solea: Konschat Highlands, Camp Stray Mary and kill sheep. Bring Dark Crystals(5 stacks) Tea Leaves(5 stacks) Distilled Water(5 stacks) as well as Wind Crystals(3 stacks).
-Turn your sheep hides to leather and then to solea.
-Hunt Lightning Elementals for lightning crystals and desynth the solea fo rmore leather.
-On the amount of materials suggested you should be able to get to 10 to take your test.

10-15: Lizard Cesti Choke up the loss... It's just a small step in the grand sceme of things...

15-21: Head out to The Canyon, Bring Dark crytals, Distilled Water and Tea Leaves. Farm and make Dhamel Leather.

21-27: Head back out to the canyon, Bring Ice Crystals, and wool thread. Wool thread is kinda pricey, but with your Dhamel leather sales you should be ok.
-Make Dhamel Mantles: ICE crystal, Dhamel Hide, Wool Thread.

27-28: Stay in Sandy and make Parchment so you can take your test.
-28 Take test
-Could take it to 30, Parchment does sell pretty well.
-Parchment = Dark Crystal, Sheep Leather, and Rolandberry(Buy in Jeuno Flower Shop for 120g ea.)

28,30-35: Stray Marry time is over =[ You gotta be out of range of her Hunting Rams. Beware of Gil Sellers, and Bring a ranger sub that is greater than level 20, you need the added widescan. Prefered job: 40-45THF/RNG-20. (Flee, Widescan, TH II.)
-Best thing to do: BRING A FRIEND!!! Have your Buddy Camp one Ram while you camp tthe other, let them keep the horns and you take the leather.
-Bring a lot of Dark Crystals, Tea Leaves, And Distilled Water... You could make Ram leather for a long time and keep going after 35 till you fill up with horns.

35-43: Take all that Ram Leather to make Waist Belts.
-Ram Leather x 2, Grass thread.
-Willl need synth support.
-Expect losses.

43-49: Ramming time!
-Ice Crystals, Ram Hide, Wool Thread.

49-53: Raptor Mantles.
-Easy and cheap just to buy materials.
-Earth Crystal, Raptor Skins x 2, Grass thread.

53-61: Tiger leather.
When you reach this point you should not be refering to this guide for information...

Good luck.
