I'd love to see him work in customer service. How can someone be a politician and be unable to take on some standard criticism? I rarely get criticized at work, but when I do I tell the person that I'm sorry they feel that way and I'll do my best to help them next time.

Guilliani won't be able to hold any public office after his presidential campaign is over.

Let me see if I got this straight. A guy calls in doing nothing but throwing insults, Guilliani returns in kind (barely) and now HE'S the bad guy.

I also love how the vid makes it look like he should have been able to guess the caller had Parkinson's. If I hadn't seen the guy, I never would have known since he seems to speak much better when he's not on camera.

Think that about sums it up...R-up

well I'm not going to argue that he somehow should of been able to guess that the guy had Parkinson because that would be ignorant but sometimes people are just assholes and Guliani is one ... most of the time.

There should be a phrase for what happens when someone has an illness that no one they communicate with know about.
The Sheladaris Factor.

He got heckled while doing a radio interview, and responded with a joke about the guy needing psychiatric help. OMG he's evil. How exactly should he have responded to an unknown person telling him that he's the worst mayor that the city has had and the biggest criminal in the city?

I'm not a fan of Rudy (or Bush either) but can you stop posting retarded propaganda about people like them? You act like a 15 year old "non-conformist" that spreads around your fight-the-power spiel because it's the cool thing that all the other non-conformists are doing.

Did you even read the OP?

He got called out for helping to make life harder for people with disabilities and told the guy he needed psychiatric help for getting angry over someone jeopardizing his livelyhood. The fact that he has a disability has absofuckinlutely nothing to do with Guiliani being an asshole to a citizen of the city which elected him to office. The only thing the video of the guy with parkinsons has to do with it is proof that the guy on the phone wasn't lying. He didn't need psychiatric help, he needed medical care which he was denied by the office of Guliani.

Because anyone that has an opinion different than yours is simply jumping on the non-conformist bandwagon? You know Guliani is running for president. You knew this was something about Guliani. If you don't want to see any information about candidates, then don't open the thread, and then subsequently the link inside the thread.

Again I ask, what should he have done about a guy who called into the radio show verbally attacking him? You can't please all the people all the time. Being Mayor of a city of 8 million people you can't even listen to the views of all the people, so do you start with the ones that are polite about it or the ones that are pissed off and taking it out on you?

The video was him talking for about 10 seconds, and a minute of following around the guy with Parkinson's.

No, because people that conform to the non-conformist mentality act like 15 year old non-conformists. Who said I didn't want to see anything about Giuliani? Change the title to something that isn't misleading and I wouldn't have clicked on it, something like "Propaganda Video about Rudy."

Not give him a reason to do it in the first place.

You can't please all the people all the time. Being Mayor of a city of 8 million people you can't even listen to the views of all the people,

Out of a pool of 8 million, if he can piss enough off to not be able to hear simple greivences of all of them, imagine what he can do with 300 million.

so do you start with the ones that are polite about it or the ones that are pissed off and taking it out on you?

The ones that are pissed. They are quite obviously angry over something serious. I mean, if I'm gonna tell you that you all of the sudden don't have the means to get this life sustaining medecine, you'd be angry about it too. Especially if your complaint was greated with "you need to see a psychiatrist".

The video was him talking for about 10 seconds, and a minute of following around the guy with Parkinson's.

so the clip from the radio show ended at :35 and then the guy talked for about a minute. What is your point? How does that relate to anything? Guliani was faced with a serious complaint and made fun of the person instead of trying to give a straight forward answer.

A serious complaint? Someone who is serious doesn't lead off their complaint with "OMG YOU SUCK". If I had the power to do so, I would do the same thing.

I hate people like that Parkinsons guy. He expects to be treated with kid gloves because his disease, so he thinks he can say whatever he wants and have nothing said back to him, and when someone finally does speak up, of course they're ridiculed.

Not give him a reason to do it in the first place.
The only problem is by doing that you end up with a single mom calling instead because she couldn't afford rent with the increased taxes to pay for the extra health care. You can't please all the people all the time; "don't piss anyone off to begin with" isn't an option.

If you can honestly think you can go up to someone that doesn't know you and say "Fuck you" right to their face, expecting them to kiss your ass and find out what your problem is, then there is no reasoning with you.

so the clip from the radio show ended at :35 and then the guy talked for about a minute. What is your point? How does that relate to anything?
That's what makes it propaganda. It doesn't matter that the guy had Parkinson's. It doesn't matter that he can act like a human interests story for the cameras; that's not how he acted when he called into the radio show.

Yeah, I can understand that. The dude was being a dick. My point was simply how the mayor responded. Here's an example:

I don't like Romney either, but look at how he responds to criticism.

----------------------------------------------------------------
Mitt : "Hello, sir. How are you?"

Old Man: "I'm one person who will not vote for a Mormon."

Mitt: "Oh, is that right?"

Old Man: "Yeah."

Mitt: "Can I shake your hand anyway?"

Old Man: "NO!"

Mitt: "Okay."
---------------------------------------------------------------

You might see that as a "correct" way to respond, but to me it is like he is slapping him across the face by saying he doesn't care what he thinks.

I dunno, I just find it funny that 90% of the people that read this board won't vote. So -- like, all this propaganda is wasted effort.

i'm one of the few people who never miss an opportunity to vote... i vote for city council people and everything.

I really hope that you are one of those people that actually do research on the people you vote for, and not just vote for a democrat, because you are a democrat.
