Gil, Me, and being efing Clueless.

I'll never understand how people can have such a hard time making gil. I mean, for the love of god, if nothing else, sub thf and farm bees or crawlers in rolanberry while you wait for party invites. beehive chips are 9-10k a stack, its not hard to get them. and silk thread is what, like 40k a stack now? or you could go farm on bub peninsula for silk, theres crawlers all over the place there. or you could try going to delkfutts and farming lightning elemenatals, they're out over there like 70% of the time and the clusters go for 3k each usually, and theres at least 2 per floor. Or you could farm tigers in battilia downs for money. Or try fishing, jellyfish alone are 3-4k a stack, and you don't even have to leave jeuno for them, and yellow globes are worth a bit too. Or you could try harvesting in west sarabuta and giddeus, or logging, or mining in any one of the half dozen mines. you could go excavating in tahrongi canyon, or the maze of shak. You could hunt lesser nm, you know the ones worth 20-100k that aren't really hunted anymore. you could hunt rams in the highlands and la theine for money, you could go to korroloka tunnel and farm slimes for oil (20k a stack) they can drop up to 4. You could farm goobues. you could farm treeants. And thats not even 10% of the ways you could be making gil at 20-100k an hour.

Btw if it was anyone other than Vang they would be joking about the whole MPK monkey thing. Vang is no doubt serious and already making the list :P
 
I am dead serious, if you want to make your 2.5 mil very fast you can make it in a week easily through me. You just may have to go to jail a few times :wink:

Turn those beehive chips u farm into beeswax for 37-30k a stack. Beeswax caps at like lvl 8 alchemy.
 
Heh i'm considering taking you up on it...I mean GM's do nothing at the best of times...what are they going to do if some stranger happens to die and take them out as well? Its not even like they can turn around and say "OMG HE HATES ME THATS WHY MPKZ OMGZ!!!!".

and for the drg guy make like 4 mules since u have job irl i sure u can afford teh 2 dollars extra and garden... herb seeds with cheap pots water crystals and u can make easy cash selling fire crystals they sell fast and u can make 40+ stacks a week not trying

Maybe even Full Linkshells at a time ^^

Either way once you do it, it's all on you if you get caught, no "Vang made me do it!" crap.
 
serioulsy it is a game if you feel you need all this uber gear to lvl up... i know alot of ppl will flame me for this but just buy the damn gil... and i know all the arguments. but you are ruining the economy, you are helping game sweat shops proliferate(sp?). but you know what if you wanna get a base and get that nice gear you want but don't wanna have FFXI as a second job my 2 cents is to just break down and buy it... and to all you that will flame me for saying it, go piss in your coffee and drink it.... PEACE :lol:

1 - Lvl THF to 15
2 - Farm Pots, Dolls, Elementals and Gigas in Middle Delkfut's Tower. Possible NM claims include Ogygos, Mimas and random other Gigas NMs
3 - Sell in Jeuno and/or Bastok depending on supply/demand

I started farming there mid 50s with my DRG, got enough for a V.mask and a sniper ring in 2 weeks off and on. Other than that, lvl THF to 15, and train bees in Giddeus all day long and sell the chips to me ^^
 
Get some of the cheap mining gear and go mine. Ores are good income. Heck just the iron and zinc ores.
Darksteel is around 18-20k each. Go to Oldton, if you dont mind a lil competition and mine for Platinum, Gold and Darksteel ores.
Lvl your smighting to 20, so you can make Iron ingots. Goldsmighting to 10, so you can make copper ingots (10k a stack).
With the iron ingots, you can make iron sheet. Worth a lil more, but can be slower to sell.

Another cheap way to start making gil is Fishing. Get a good rod, little worms, and fish for moat carps. Sell off every 2nd or 3rd stack of moat carp you get for 4k, just to keep you going with fishing and use the rest for Lu shanq quest, wich is worth a few million gils too. Sure that just take a lotta time thu. But its something you can do more or less every time you got a spare minute.

Crafting while Farming is a good way for optimal money making.
Being able to turn every kind of ore into more valuble ingots when mining is a sweet money maker.

Oh and do some quests. The Ninja scroll quests, teleport quests. Warp 1 and 2, aspir + drain spells...
Unless you want to lvl whm, blm and nin, theese are good money makers too.
 
Level beastmaster. I made 200k on Antican Pauldrons from level 36-37 I think and made 90k on spider webs last night leveling from 43-44. Plan on making another 90k tonight, and all I'm doing is leveling up. Beastmaster = Money. And you don't even need all that pimp of gear since your mob is doing most of the damage.
 
I take that back. Pauldrons from 39-40.
 
silk is up to 40k a stack =/ .. with thf sub you could get a stack in no time outside windy. I normally farm in crawler's nest with my BST. Grab me a crawler hunter and clear out lizzys and crawlers that the partys arent goin after in the back tunnels. I always come out with a few hundred-thousand gil a day if I farm more than 6 hours. Also lizzy skin is 20k a stack and it drops like crazy even without TH.

Not good idea ... beewax is 27k a stack average, beehive sell for 9-10k a stack, when you add the 3-4k for the fire crystals you defintively lose money. This option is viable only if your alchemy is 59+ (when you can HQ 50% of the time).
