gillseller are people just avoiding there spawns now?

To tell you the truth...my favorite game used to be FFXI ... but now I have Battlefield 2 and FFXI doesn't really matter as much
Maybe the Jap plan worked ....you know the one where they hate you cause you're not jap. yeah that one always got me.

Yeah I am losing interest quick :/ I use to love this game to death.. I hardly recommend it to anyone now. No one should have to come and suffer. i cant imagine what it be like to be 'New' at this anymore lol. Holy crap i remember when 100k actually meant somethin.

I agree completely. Just couple days ago I went to look for a diffrent back armor and noticed hey Amement Mantle looks pretty good (since I am poor and will never afford the +1), so I place my bid for the going price 50k... unable to purchase, 60k, 70k.. still nothing. so i said screw it I wont contribute to the inflation. Tried again 2 days later voila! I got it for 50k.
This is a fine example of something that would really help this server. Dont stand for overpriced products. Simply dont pay it if its overpriced. They will have to come down or they will be stuck shouting in jeuno for hours on end. or have it sent back to mog house every 7 days lol.

Psst, it cost the crafter 300k to make that.

I want an O. Kote for my MNK, but I'll be damned if I'll spend 9 million for it. I don't care how long it takes me to beat the sellers to the claim and get the drop, I'm taking that bird down.

you telling me out of the 2300 that no one camps a 2 hour spawn. Come on :omg: 1 them can even be soloed

Siren hair NM in no 2 hr spawn. I was there for like 4 hours once to get my minstrel's coat. It never popped :( We KILLED EVERYTHING There. But that other useless NM did pop though.

Took me 6 hours one day, and 2 hours the next to day to get my Minstrel's Coat. First my LS went and we camped it and had a grand old time skilling up and all that stuff. But it didn't drop. The next day I decided to take a chance and run down there and shout for help, and wouldn't you know it some Japanese
gilsellers were camping Novv and let me have the coat.

Damn i wish you all would sell low so i can buy all your gear for nothing then sell it all and have you pay whatever i ask for it... I mean cmon, damn inflation, this isnt fair!!!!!!

/end sarcasm..

No one ever said they wanted low prices they want things back within reason.. Currently there is no reason to thing that Noble cloak that cost over 20 million is resonable -.-. Nor should anyone be buying scorpion harness for 15 or 16 million when most have theirs for 8 - 10 million.. that is reasonable.

define reasonable for me. You have gotton so comfortable with the set prices you fail to realise more money is constantly being thrown into the market. People getting rank missions done brings in money extreamly fast, people selling stuff to NPC's, quests, etc., and the more there is, the more things will cost, end of story. This is simply all that inflation combusting at one time.

People are tired of CCing gil sellers becuz they know a gil seller can go get two triumph rings and a SH in 2 mins n kick their ass.yeah it sucks =/ lets prey enix makes everything rare/ex

Heh. While back IGE had a huge sale, ironically during the holidays. Hard to believe some ppl actually spent their money buying fake currency.

I tell you right now that gilsellers hold a lotof currency in their pockets. Giving a crapload of gil out to ppl really causes a lot of problems. Now all of a suddenthese poor ppl have a crapload of gil their general instinct would to be buy every single desirable item that their class wants. Eventually they buying the items faster than the crafters can sell them, thus the prices are rising extremely. Somehow ppl still are fcoming up with the money to buy these expensive items, and thats why they've been raised to such extremes.

Honestly best way to stop the raise of prices is to stop buying crap. But ppl still rely on gilsellers and they continue to purchase from them, therefore they will always have enough money and they'll always be able to purchase stuff.

I guarantee you anybody who buys a Haubergeon at the price today must've bought gil, because a person who earned their money would be smart enough to know that buying one for 14 mil is absurd, And ppl who actually earns their money tends to be a lot smarter with it

NMs produce items. They have a maxium rate of output, kill as soon as they pop. Gilsellers already accomplish this. If more people were to camp it, more items would not appear on the ah. So that point of your logic fails. Its not that people are scared of the gilsellers mpk anymore, its that they don't want to wait 4-5 hours just to lose spawns to gilsellers. If no one was camping an nm that dropped Siren's hair, you bet I would be there, but that is never the case. Its a waste of time to have 4-5 groups of people camping a single nm, output doesn't magically increase because more people are camping it.

you see there is onething you over look though the output is the same, it would you instead of them geting the output. The reason that the prices are going up now is people dont farm anymore they just do a pcc bcnm <still thing biggest mistake se could ever do> or camp some other get rich quick sceme. the whole just dont by it line dont work either because the price never go down. to much rich wanker with to much bloodyy money. <in rl or game> Everything was find till the august update where they change mobs to ra/ex and made hnm hyper and made them ra/ex items bcnm. That what the problem is mob divesity. soon the worth of gil wont be worth anything and it will go to a strictly trading system. Also the reason the farm these area is because the gil is easy, or maybe this game is started to head down hill like games in pass maybe this next expansion will be ff last.

If you haven't noticed the items that have inflated the most are the ones that are crafted

that because most the item in endgame have something to do with crafting and the syth items are rareity. plus there lot lazy crafter out there that just buy and not supply

It doesn't matter who gets the drop. Items can only be produced so fast from an nm. This can cause demand to exceed supply which causes high price to off set the demand. It doesn't matter if the person getting the drop was a gilseller or regular player. I would be almost inclined to think the regular player is better at jacking the price up than the gil sellers.

Your logic for why prices are going up is wrong too. As has been explained 10,000 times on this board, inflation is happening. There is more gil entering the economy than leaving. Second, more people are high lvl now going after the same pool of nm items. More people -> more demand -> higher prices. Since supply output can't increase as I described earlier, it should be pretty obvious. If we followed your logic and people CC the gilsellers instead of going after other get rich items, we would see output of high end items decrease (because they doing less bcnms and less killing other nms). This would result in even worse price increases as supply output decreases further.

You also claim if people don't buy it the price won't drop. I disagree, if people refused to buy mill+ items off AH, you would quickly see a price drop as the fees tore through profits. Problem is people do pay the prices, so the price won't drop. I love your last line, the typical blame it on the rich cop out.

Kill crafters, kill the economy, make most gear in the game end game only, kill new players, inevitably doom the game. Yeah, that would be just great.

sort of off topic:

just thought i'd add this, on the topic of amemet mantles, its 1.5mil for the amemet skin, an ingredient, when the mantle sells for the 2-5k i've seen, thats almost pure loss. of course they're going to charge high on the HQ, otherwise they wouldnt bother
