Which is better choice?

Dusk Glove + Hachiman Sune-ate

or

Hachiman Kote + Fuma Sune-ate?

The setup to go with in your case is:

Hachiman feet
Dusk gloves

That was going to change once I got Nyzul body into:

Dusk Gloves and Fuma boots. Reason being is that the Nyzul body offers you store TP in it while giving you 2% DA stack. And if your like me you run with SAM/NIN with 9% DA including that body and haste setup. Its the most efficient way to run SAM imo with plenty of DMG. Ask around, most folks that knew me knew what I was capable of. You have been around for a while though Spalko so I'm sure your starting to merit the SAM you have.

In the end my SAM was:

Merits:
8/8 Gkt
5/5 Store TP
4/4 Crit hits
5/5 meditate
8/8 STR
3/3 overwhelm
1/3 Shikyoyo

As far as gear it obviously varied for WS situations and whatnot but for TP build I went with:

Walahra Turban
Justice Torque (Obviously most wont have this, use something beneficial)
Shura Togi (or use Hauby, or the best choice IMO the Askar Korazin)
Byakko Haidate
Dusk Gloves
Foragers mantle
Ulathams ring
Rajas Ring
Hachiman boots (or dusk boots if you get Askar Korazin)
Swift Belt (Speed belt if you have that kind of gil)
Tiphia Sting

I wont bother explaining the WS gear since your question is aimed at TP gear. Also I would think you try to keep the 6 hit setup hence your question.

Hope this helps.

It's a damn shame Taku quit, because he really was a great SAM.
I never got to ask so thought I would here, if I may - how much Store TP is needed for a SAM to be able to not-need JSE feet? Rather, of the 5 it gives, how much of that is "overflow", if you'd call it that? Or is 5 just enough for one less swing?

420 10.7 17 34 57 87 134

464 12.1 3 18 37 64 105
480 13 0 10 29 54 93

In a 450 delay GKT you need 46 store TP. At 75 SAM with full store TP merits, you only need 11 store TP.

Items [including those that SAM can't wear] that have store TP:
* Shinimusha Hara-Ate (+9)
* Shinimusha Haidate (+6)
* Hachiman Sune-Ate (+5)
o Hachiman Sune-Ate +1 (+6)
* Hachiman Hakama (+3)
o Hachiman Hakama +1 (+4)
* Hachiman Kote (+8)
o Hachiman Kote +1 (+9)
* Hachiman Domaru (+6)
o Hachiman Domaru +1 (+7)
* Myochin Haidate +1 (+4)
* Saotome Domaru (+3)
o Saotome Domaru +1 (+5)
* Rajas Ring (+5)
* Ecphoria Ring (+1)
* Attila's Earring (+1)
* Brutal Earring (+1)
* Bushido Cape (+1)
* Cancer Subligar (+1)
* Chivalrous Chain (+1)
* Omokage (+2)
* Kosetsusamonji (Assault: +2)
* Futsuno Mitama (+8)
* Tournament Lance (+3)
* Askar Korazin (+5)
* Usukane Haramaki (+6)
* Usukane Sune-Ate (+7)
* Skadi's Chausses (+7)
* Hikazu Hara-Ate (+1)
* Hikazu Sune-Ate (+1)
* Haten Earring (+2)

I would think that Brutal [1] and Rajas [5] would be staples of the 6 hit build. Askar Korazin [5] would allow you to free up other slots [hands, feet] from JSE to add haste/atk/acc.

edit: spacing is jacked. and I'm lazy. Sorry, lol.

I use Dusk hands + Hachiman feet. Hachiman hands suck overall, the only reason to have them is you don't have full store TP merits yet. Plus you can replace the Hachiman feet with Usukane eventually.

45 StoreTP = 6 hit build. (5 hits + WS)

Job Trait +25
Merits +10
Rajas Ring +5
Askar Body +5

+45 Total

No overflow, unless you count Brutal Earring.

As states above, Askar Body or Usukane Feet can make the need for either hachiman hands or feet no more. Futsuno Mitama works too, but let's be realistic, lol.

Adding this on:

9 hits - 0 Store TP
8 hits - 9 Store TP
7 hits - 25 Store TP
6 hits - 45 Store TP
5 hits - 74 Store TP

or

WS + 8 hits - 0 Store TP
WS + 7 hits - 9 Store TP
WS + 6 hits - 25 Store TP
WS + 5 hits - 45 Store TP
WS + 4 hits - 74 Store TP

Edit: Although, it depends how much TP you get on your weapon skill, as that can throw the build off as well.

Yeah I answered while running out the door, Baj is right about the Usukane feet thats for certain. And what knight posted above is indeed correct. I used Brutal earring and Bushinomimi obviously as well.

The obvious answer is Usukane Sune-Ate.

I did the math a little while ago and it turns out that the O.Kote could theoretically = Dusk Gloves at ~500 Attack. If you go to ~600 attack Dusk gets favor (Not hard to do at all). I personally havent' parsed them since I am like 0/4 on Mee Deggi since he went Rare/Ex and 4/100 on claim. The overall benefit of any of these settups would be that they are so close over all, that it does indeed break down to skill.

Personally I use Askar hads and Fuma Sune-Ate, I find is suits my needs on Movement speed, Haste, crit, accuracy, evasion, just fine. Sure it's not a 6 hit settup out the gates, but considering the situations, I dont' need a 6 hit pretty much ever. I am usually waiting on a skillchain partner, or taking enough damage from stray AoE that it really doesnt' matter...

Askar body, Usukane Feet, Brutal Earring, and Rajas ring, that's 43 store TP. That's like 1 AoE or stary hit to tip you over, without merits no less and you could use any hands you like depending on how you like to play.

This is what my current TP setup looks like:
Hagun
Pole Strap
Tiphia sting
Walahra turban
Peacock charm
Bushinomimi
Brutal earring
Haubergeon +1
Hachiman kote
Rajas ring
Ulthalam's ring
Swift belt
Byakko's Haidate
Fuma sune-ate
Amemet mantle+1

I use to be Dusk/Hachi feet myself but I had snow gorget for my Yuki/Gekko WS's so I wasn't able to use CC for that extra store TP on my WS to let me able to switch out for rutters and alky's and still maintain 6 hit. I would practially have to fulltime Hachiman sune-ates so I myself have recently have turned to the hachiman kotes and fumas and I can easily WS in rutters and alkys without losing my 6 hit.

With the hands + rajas + brutal, that puts me easily over the amount I need to maintain my 6 hit regardless of my WS choices. But like a couple people have said, once you get Usukane sune-ates, that'll solve your store TP issues.

well thanks for all the reply, surely will love to have usukane feet when my LS salvage group starts.
