So 6 OBVIOUS fishing bots are in SSG. I'm annoyed as usual because the level 1 bots found a spot in the lake thay can all cluster up at that Sagahins can't reach them so I made the call, pointless as it was, to inform them.

I'm on PS2 but I have typed out the whole conversation verbatim:

Totally passed the buck and basically could of cared less. Oh in case you were wondering there names were:

Sfyo, Bgyu, Dasdz, Sfgjk, Hfyrj, Timax

All Level one, naked, "New adventurers" except Timax who was probably controlling them. He was a level 32 gimp blm. Probably there for raises and warping the catches back to town so the other 5 can fish uninterupted.

How could a 32 BLM raise them? Otherwise pretty crappy.
 
Umm, it takes time... Not everything can be done at the drop of a hat, why cant people understand this??

When will people learn that the RMT are banned at the end of each month anyway? Theyre doing their jobs, just go along playing your game after you report them

The task force was made so GMs can do everything else promptly, and have people specifically designated to take care of a problem. You went through the wrong channels, which is understandable, but you're just bitching when they tell you how things are done and who to contact. I don't think the GM is the one being useless here.
 
To add, if anyone read BBT's thread on GM delays, this is the reason GMs get delayed so much, dealing with this sort of thing.

1) I already tried the task force before, there as useless as the gm.

2) The gm pretty much admits he knows there RMT but passes the buck. I even ask him to send them a tell and he says, " I'm too busy with other calls to investigate".

The gms will never do shit unless you all but harass the shit out of them about it. I wouldn't be surprised if there "Task Force" was similar to the "research dept" ie the shedder at my work. Designed to shut people up about there obvious indifference to the situation. All that loser gm did was patronize me which may satisfy your needs but when you have the ability as a gm to jail people and you do nothing YOUR USELESS.

And there is no dispute that they were not bots so don't bother going there.

Given the nature of your OP, I have a feeling that could be roughly interpreted like this:
"I already tried the task force, they didn't issue a ban right there on the spot, so they clearly aren't doing enough!" Damn them for making sure that when they issue a ban, it's deserved. Damn them all.

"Passing the buck" only applies when it's actually your responsibility or place to take action, yet you do not, instead shifting the responsibility to someone else down the chain. I think it was made clear that the task force handled 3rd party programs and RMT, not GMs now. (Unless it's extremely blatant. Don't say Lv1s fishing is blatant either, it's not if you're acting professionally.)

It sounds like your beef is with the task force, and even then, it's probably not warranted. All in all, it just sounds like you're pissed off that these characters weren't immediately banned, something nobody has, or should have the ability to do within SE.

I asked a GM what would be best (I fish daily in SSG for my girlfriend) multiple GM's have told me to call them and not the task force. They've also told my girlfriend this. I wish they'd fucking make their mind up. You can MPK them, you just need an NM. I did it with the minstrel's coat one. I took both my gf's and my character there, left my gf's fishing, grabbed the NM on me, dragged it to my gf (who was right next to the bots), and force dc'd us both at the same time.
 
I agree that it sucks, but I also agree with Garvin here. Since the introduction of the STF, just think of the measures they have taken to eliminate RMT. Theres a Goblin Bounty Hunter close to nearly every god damn fishable area in the game. Be happy that SE even cares enough about the community and economy to do things like that for its players.

And yes I know, we are paying them, so they should do things like this, but as Ruffy said, it takes time. Mr. [GM] can't just load up the database and toss a Goblin in there like magic.

The economy is a thousand times better than it was at this point a year ago, so you have to take the good with the bad and just let them do their jobs.
 
Another thought occurred to me as well: They could very well intentionally be leaving them be, so that they can trace where all the money is going, and nail a bunch of other RMT and associates in the process. Just because you don't see not just immediate action, but the action that you want to happen, doesn't mean it's not happening.

I agree, that GM doesn't know right from left. When i had my connection problem he actually said " I really don't know what to say" wtf is that for a person that should help people that are having problems, so i finally called a friend and told him to shout in jeuno to fix my problem.

Relax Toma, I had the exact same scenerio except in the Valkurm Dunes. As far as I know they arn't there anymore.
 
Yarr, I called the scurry dogs once to send the fishbots to Davy Jones' Locker. Nothing happened, and now I just be ignorin' 'em.

I thought GM were there to control and maintain order acting on players who defy the rules. So it would be enough and more acceptable an answer like : I wish I could bring Sahagins over to them ^^ but sadly, cannot. (eventually add: "It's beyond my capabilities, i can ban players but not interfere with game mechanics")
Specifing that "MPK is still mpk and I would get in trouble even on RMT." he is saying that if he want... a GM actually can force spawn a mob in a desired position, or worse control a mob movement to walk toward people.
Mmm ....
 
They can move your characters around, which you have more control over, so moving mobs shouldn't be too impossible for them.

talking about fishing bot, there are like 7 of them in dunes whitebone beach that hunters just walk around them.
 
nothing is perfect, but i think they have done a great job combating RMT compared to what they used to do anyways.
