GM does not know what 2nd party software is
GMs idea very on different GMs as i got "told off" before for dual screens and this 1 said its not wrong
they know nothing on region codes
basicly my mom knows more about PCs then them lol (she can turn Pc on ^>^)

So you talked to a GM and asked them if windower was ok, then cited reasons and compared it to using dual screens like a piece of alienware hardware. Then you pointed them at our site, specifically a thread that discussed the issue. Then you asked about the regional codes on your disks to see if you would have to import a copy of the expansion from the US to match your US version of the game you are running. After that you sent the GM a link to a "GM Battle" video that you thought they might enjoy.

I think thats what happened, correct me if I'm wrong. I think this thread could have been named better though. Something like "My GM conversation about 3rd PT software."

yeah btu first needed video of that GM thing the code thing is as i am on a US ffxi in eu ..... so added it at end

luke s: Hi, on this forum website I've been reading, people have been talking about the Flee Tool v. the Windower, and how Flee Tools are wrong, but the windower is OK. Sure, Flee is making it easier to kite mobs, which you should be able to, but the license agreement has not changed for 3 years! Is the Windower a third party tool, because all it does is let you check websites and such, and some people need it for SMN, as normal full screen is patchy, and loads Carbuncle as blue lines. So, is windower still not allowed?

luke s: And 2nd? Is alienware dual screens also 3rd party? It makes FFXI only go on one screen, not two. Sorry if this is a lot of questions, I don't know about this stuff, I've mainly been using PS2 and my alienware has 2 screens.

luke s: Like I said, on Mee Deggi in Castle Oztroja, the placeholder is 5hr game time, but the gilsellers flee 2 seconds before the NM pops, and only flees on NMs, not on the placeholders. After seeing them do it for 3 weeks, it's a pain in the butt. well after 3 weeks of seeing gillsellers do it

Uh.. do you even know what Second Party is? It's a contractual development company tied specifically to one platform, such as Team Ninja(Dead or Alive) and Microsoft, or Retro Studios(Metroid) and Nintendo.


Theres no such thing as second-party software regarding hacks and cheats.
