I was duoing in Gustav to just goof off and possibly get a few drops. We were done, and just were running to the exit when I saw an unusual name, so we killed it. Dropped armor and a gold coin. oh.. 3000 gil lol...

So we went to Labyrinth of Onzozo and killed more goblins. I did accidently pulled something called Mysticmaker Profblix, but it only dropped something called Moldavite Earring, so we just dropped and kept going.

Just... kidding....

Why is it that beastMEN (EDIT: omg.. how'd I mess that up?) keep casting AM on me.. I keep getting hit by it, and having nothing to stun or silence with. Where is a redshirt when ya need one.... "Phasers on stun" It gets me down to half HP then Sleep II's me, and begins to cast Tornado. Woulda died if Malika hadn't Cure IV'd me so I could Cure IV myself seconds before the winds came. Invincible + Refresh + Great Rdm = One dead gobbie. Got Thunderaga III too.

Btw.. just to make everyone hate me.... I am officially 1/1 on Moldy Earing... and we weren't even camping it. lol.. at least nobody else was camping it at the time.

Soooo.. who knows how to get a mermaid ring?

Grats. The Beastmen Treasure quest is the only way I can think of. You mentioned a BC fight possibly but I don't see that...I just took a quick look though. GL!

The way to get a mermaid ring is to start it by talking to this Goblin NPC that only appears on Windsdays in Yuhtunga Jungle. He's located near that drop that's the shortcut to Yhoator Jungle (H-6 to be exact). You collect Mermaid Body, Hands, Head, and Tail from Sahagins.

Mermaid Body- Spring Sahagin in SSG ( 36-39 )
Mermaid Hands- Creek Sahagin in Yuhtunga Jungle ( 34-38 )
Mermaid Head- Brook Sahagin in SSG ( 41-48 )
Mermaid Tail- Seww the Squidlimbed in SSG ( 48 )-- I think this NM is a 2hr spawn? I don't really know. =\

Then after getting all that, head back to the goblin NPC on a windsday. Trade him the pieces and he will give you a treasure map where you have to excavate something. And that's all I can remember.

What's even worse is after spending all that time acquiring all the necessary parts.. the ring isn't even a 100% drop. You might be better off just buying it from the AH and save yourself frustration and a headache. Congrats on the Moldy Earring
