god i love black listing some people

I have blacklisted 4 individuals in the past 8 months I have played FFXI.

Two of these individuals were related to this incident.

The other two were persons who spammed me outside Bastok asking for gil, and upon my refusal to give them the nonexistent 30k I had at the time, they began to /sh that I was in fact "rude."

Annoyances like that earn a person a special spot on my blist.
 
Wow, I have like 30 people on my blacklist. I should clean it up, but haven't bothered, generally they are there for a reason. Usually people end up there because they shout stupid bs in Jeuno and annoy me, so /blacklist add stupidperson here...problem solved. lol I should clean it up, but I dunno, once a moron, generally always a moron. I'll prolly look at it tomorrow just because this made me think about it.

I have to agree. I cleaned out my Blacklist once and a person that was once on it, turned out to still be a jackass. Not much of a shock. I've ignored some people enough to the point they think they are on my list and usually it works to get them to just leave me alone, but it really is nowhere near as effective as just "/blist add". The only downside I have to it is some people are just so obsessed they will say or do anything and with that person blacklisted, you have no way of knowing what they say, shout or emote.
 
Couple years ago when I was Lv.30-40ish, coming out of Crawler's Nest, I remember saying "hi" to a JP mage.

Mind you thats all I said.
Then he/she said: Blacklist - You can have this.
I was like, "eh? wtf? O_o" and went on my merry way.

Till this day I wonder if I'm still on their list.
Heh, maybe they even quit.
