PS3 God of War I and II... in HD!!!!!!!!!

If there's bad in this it's that it's not going to sell more than 200k because it's going to be seen as a shitty looking PS3 game instead of a remastered PS2 game. This means games I'd rather have aren't coming... for example FF10/12 Kingdom Hearts 1/2, Ico/Shadow of Colossus, Tales of the Abyss... maybe even some PS1 stuff...

...like FF7, not remade but remastered, that would be pretty sweet. Everything re-rendered in 720P, the cutscenes rerendered with the same tech they used for Advent Children. All the music transfered to 7.1 HD audio. Widescreen format.

I'd pay $40 for that and be completely satisfied never requiring a full PS3 remake.

The bad is that when SE sees this ISN'T a million seller, they aren't going to do that.


As for the whole BC argument. Yeah, it's a nice feature that I wish newer buyers could get, but like you... I got mine already and so it's not tearing me up inside.
 
Sony is still making good money off of ps2 games and hardware, BC would be screwing up there money also.

He was talking about having to buy a ps2 for backwards compatibility.

Personally I just won't sell my PS2 slim I suppose. I could've made a little cash if my ps3 had backwards compatibility, but oh well.
 
Speaking of downloads, they need to put Chains of Olympus on the PSN store.
 
I think I may pick this up as a christmas gift to myself sometime in December.
