Most of QCDN/FFXI don't even care if people cheat. Your Linkshell good or bad is your Linkshell either people like it or hate it. But it don't change anything it's still your linkshell those who are in it will be in it those not won't be in it. What make you and your LS so holy that people would want to care about what goes on in it? Nothing not a damn thing. Your just a conceded drama boy who thinks he's cool 'cause he has a ridill and some gear. Why don't you go get a life and get some nice things in real life instead of living your 13 year old dream.

Errr, Blancho, if it was that easy maybe it would have. but people like to talk and spread info/rumors/whatever. Even if anyone wanted to keep something in shell it gets out somehow and someone will always make a mess of it.

i stopped caring. well, working on it anyway. sucks to watch cheaters get what they want, and ex cheaters get into "clean" shells. well, w/e i'll have rdm leveled in a month or so ready to join em since you can't beat em.
 
As deci said, I could have booted GP to hold up my holy inquisition demeanor and keep a consistant stance. As I was following my ls's general feeling, an overwhelming majority wanted to give him another chance. There were detractors, but provisions were made to the decision to try to make as many people content as possible. I'm not so caught up in my own personal image that I won't listen to others. If my ls can trust GP, I can trust GP. Believe me, he's being watched like a hawk
Am I hypocritical? To an extent yes. But in many cases swallowing one's own pride to do what the linkshell decides is right is worth more. I volunteered to take the heat from it, and guess who my detractor's are, the same people who always disagree with me...Fabio, Shitstreak, Luzor, Lavi (joyeuse still sucks btw), and Sirelhacks.

I called your ls what it was, piss ass weak. Adding vang to the mix should strengthen it quite a bit...and I'm being dead serious there, how sad is that?

You denounce hacking and then welcome former/current/who knows cheaters into your shell. <Main issue here>

You can't have your cake and eat it too. Crying for a clean rep as you welcome cheaters into your arms is not going to accomplish anything but negative publicity. Nobody really gives a flying fuck about you and likely won't give you their sympathy as long as you're associated with someone who does or has hacked.

I'm not trying to sound like a dick or start flame disputes either... just offering an unbiased viewpoint since the majority of the posters here have formulated their opinions of you long before they even clicked this topic. The whole topic of hacking at all gets me all heehee'd up as it is.

My advice, if you want the respect of your (legit) peers, is to do the right thing. I think we all know what that entails at this point. Take it for what its worth- or don't- its totally your call. There's always going to be cheaters in end game as long as end game leaders are turning this blind eye to the issue when it has potential to benefit their team(illigitimately). Ultimately, it rests on the shoulders of these leaders to decide which path their shell will follow.

Are you so disgusted that your ls hasnt accomplished anything that you have to talk shit about one that CLEARLY has? Get over yourself your a nobody in this game only reason people know who you are is because you got what you wanted from a once respectable Kaizen ls and left right after. I don't disagree with you just to disagree; however, in this case you've made a point to be anti-cheatting and here you are befriending an admitted cheater. One would think with the two chances he was given by a GM would be enough. Instead he is given a new life. Had he lost his account, he would probably have discontinued playing and then learned his lesson. What's to learned when all the bad stuff that happened to you is wiped clean? Your friends accept you, you are given a new character with lots of gear (don't give me the "it was stripped" crap, Moraine had more shit than you can shake a stick at) and not a single bad thing comes of it besides the loss of character which ultimately is a minor setback. I am of the mind that if you plan being very vocal about something, then you damn well better be sure you hands are thoroughly clean. By being very vocal about cheatting, but siding with a known cheater, you do a disservice to the argument. People will believe cheatting has no draw-back because you are willing to take them back regardless. And it all begs the question about what if...

As for the Joyeuse argument, I never entirely disagreed with you, but you're as thick as ever. Once you get something in that head of yours, you don't seem to want to let it go, do you? I said it (reread it if you want to verify it), that I never entirely disagreed with you. I said, I would use axe/axe because I preferred them. I; however, would not be like you and pull the elitist card on anyone in my party who choses to use one and say "omg gimp, you'll do 20 less damage, gtfo". The only reason I ever argued with you in the first place is because you argument was completely one-sided; you ignored certain facts and went on with no evidence trying to state your own assertions as if they were fact.

By the way, nice job using the lame insulting names. Adds a flair only a tard could add.
 
I ... kinda fail to see the point of all this. You're basically announcing it because you know you'll hear about it and want to pre-empt that. But then act defensive and name-calling when, shocker of shockers, precisely what expected happens and you hear about it?

Screw the morals and stick with the people, or screw the people and stick with the morals. Unless all your people are squeaky-clean anyway (in which case you get the morals *and* the people ... but then again, your odds of a 100% squeaky-clean endgame shell are absolutely abysmal), you do eventually have to make that decision, and nobody has any respect for someone who tries to fence-sit.

What I'm seeing here is a case of "screw the morals and stick with the people", giving a known cheater another chance, which is fine, but don't try to wave the morals around afterward. And also, don't be immature and start calling people a marginally more adult variation of "poopyhead" for calling you on your self-acknowledged double standard.

And personally, I'd only give the second chance to someone if they cared enough about the game to take their banning punishment like a man and start from *scratch*, complete with starting with your 50 gil adventurer ticket thing and working your way up. Any parent can tell you that a punishment doesn't teach anything if there's no sting to it and it's a punishment only in name. ("You're grounded! You may only stay out until 5 am instead of all night!") For all that stripped-down Moraine may be no pre-ban Godpoing gear-wise, that's still a *ton* of stuff - and various job levels, area access, and other nuisances already done - which he doesn't have to gain or regain.

As much as I didn't wanna step into this topic, this right here makes it sound like you just used the other LS and are totally ungrateful for the help. Rather, you even brag about how the other group got nothing. Does that make you smart? No, that makes you an ungrafeful sh-!t and one of the sole reasons most endgame shells won't help each other to begin with. Good goddamn going.

The rest of you guys - Jamal's giving GP a second chance. It's his and some of the LS' choice, but it wasn't a unanimous agreement, not even close. It's been agreed to that if he's caught hacking AT ALL he'll be booted, or quite a few members will leave on the spot. If you don't believe this, fine, but that's how the case is, take it or leave it. I know it's hypocrital(sp?) to a rather bad extent, but I'm just stating a small bit that seems to have been greatly overlooked.

This thread makes me sick.

He lost and said the Mbody should have gone to him without even having to lot it. I know I know a big fan of Jamal would see right past that and attack the ls that gave him the free shot at it. He is the ungrateful piece of shit. Instead of saying anything else encouraging all he said is how it shoudl have been his. A Fucking treasure whore thats all he is. No offense Mish, but what i said was me being an asshole to the person that is being an asshole to me. We were grateful we said thank you. He was not grateful he lost lot and took it like a baby. There are more than 2 sides to some discussions. You don't have to be their friend, on their side, or even have the smallest ounce of respect for someone to disagree with those with conflicting arguments to your own.

Take me for example. Here I am deffending Mish from you, but I totally chewed her out a while back.

I suppose that is a difference between some people though. I can deffinately agree and disagree (loudly) and not hold a huge personal grudge that would affect my opinions later. Each instance is different, and in this one, while it looks up front like Jamal is setting a double standard, and it's still kinda there, it is not like he made the decision all on his own. He respected a majority ruling, even if it went against his own beliefs. Thats alot of what this game takes.

He didn't ever have to compromise in his 1 on 1 encounters with people on the flameboard before. His voice was strictly his own. Now has put on another hat, and has to play the democratic leader in front of the same audience that has seen him play the crusader.
