So, maybe Dynamis isn't a big deal to most everyone, but last night, I got to do my very first Dynamis run. Which was a big deal to me.

I signed on - after signing off just after getting the Dynamis starting cutscene up in Xarcabard - and just about the first thing I see over the ls is "New shell doing first dynamis run, anyone wanna come?" So I said sure, if you'll have me, I'd love to go. They said yes, so I ran back to Sandy, and met up with PrioryofSion. There was some confusion, some running around, some more confusion, and then we were in. Cue spooky music.

It was awesome. I was afraid I was going to be pretty much useless for anything but refresh, but I discovered that I can reliably land spells on Dynamis mobs. At least the ones in Sandy, so that was exciting.

We ran out of time before we could beat it, but we did get two white mage caps to drop (Luckygirl got one, I forget who got the other), a pair of monk legs (for Shellee), and a giant frozen head. Also a relic axe (that went to Dazell, I think) and a relic lance (that went to Katoris). Plus other stuff.

Unfortunatly, all times are pretty bad for me, so I'm not sure if I will be able to keep going. But still, it was pretty generally awesome. And while there were lots and lots of deaths, we only mostly wiped once. Which I think is not bad, because there were a bunch of us that were in there for the first time, and the first time we thought we were going to wipe, we didn't.

So, congratulations to everyone that got relic stuffs, and thank you to PrioryofSion for bringing me along, and yay me! I got to do Dynamis!
 
Glad to hear you had fun. Dynamis is fun if you run with the right people if you don't its a complete drag. As you do more you'll see RDM's are used for crowd control a lot coming to dynamis /BLM for sleepga. It's pretty interesting when you have about 20 mobs wake up and start chasing you lol... keep it up.

We had Narlyboots for crowd control, and he was awesome. I was /whm, so I was very little with that. We were very light on mages, we had one black mage, one white mage, two red mages.
 
Congratulations on your first dynamis run. :) It is a load of fun even if there is sometimes lots of death. I'm glad to hear that your first run went well.
 
Congrats Whim, thats as fine a first response as I've ever heard from a new dynamis attendee, hope you have many more enjoyable runs and lots of relic, sounds like you're in good hands with that shell. :)
 
So long as you're happy about who you're with, everyone working together for eachother, and you all want a good time... well, that's the makings of a good dynamis experience. I'm very happy you got to have that experience too; sometimes that can be rare. Hope your dynamis future goes well; if you're time availability changes and you want to keep up with dynamis just refer to the dynamis scheduling area under LS events and look up your time slot. If you can't figure out a leader of the shell in particular, just PM me man. I know almost all of them. Either way, glad you had fun! ^^

Well, check out PrioryofSion. Kainrules is the leader, and it was a lot of fun. Great group.
 
Screw that. You're not allowed to do Dynamis with anyone but me Blaze. I promise to kill you enough to make it fun.
