Gogo Nintendo, let's make more money(Redesigned DS)

I'm content with my current DS brick, but I'm still hungering for a Game Boy Micro. I just can't quite bring myself to justify the purchase.

Sony did it too. Nothing wrong with this though, it's simply is a 2nd attempt at luring the other crowd over.
 
As content as I am with the current one, I do have to admit that thing is kinda bulky.
 
I saw the release of GB Micro and now the release of DS Lite more as a tactic to lure in the people who don't have one yet. I know a couple people who don't own DS because they say it tires their arms and is too bulky, so they'll probably pick up Lites.

Redesigning a system to intice different people to buy their product! God forbid! Curse you evil Nintendo for trying to make more money like every other company in the world!!

I mean not like anyone else has done this *cough*Sony*cough*

Gotta go, have to run to the mazda dealership and give them shit for putting out a new model Mazda hatchback this year because I bought one 2 years ago...Damn them!

I hope Sony continues the trend of remaking all of their systems. I'd like to see them come up with a PSP that doesn't suck, for starters.

i think it looks pretty good, just not good enough to justify another DS. maybe once the toutch screen wears out, then i will... until then, im happy with my current one.

Well said. Well said indeed. And Cubs, we know you hate Nintendo by now, so why don't you just... stop? Whenever a new Nintendo thread comes along, we'll just pretend a post is in there flaming whatever it's about.

At E3, Reggie said that the Micro was to try and bring in new gamers with the new design who'd think that the SP was more for kids. Nintendo's main goal is to try and bring more people into gaming, which is why they wanted a controller for the Revolution that someone could just pick up and use, instead of having a bajillion buttons and being the size of a grizzly bear.

They're trying to do the same thing with the DS Lite as well. Make it smaller and give it a sleeker look to try and attract more people.

Looks like that extended warranty deal I got from Best Buy will pay off. Instant replacement and free exchange for newer models for $20 more <3.


The adjustable brightness is what will make me swap. Current DS, some games just seem too dimly lit(Animal Crossing,) while others overly bright(CastleVania)
