Jamie Fox has a lot of buzz around him. I wouldn't be surprised if he sweeps all three nominations. Especially for Redemption, I honestly disliked The Life and Death of Peter Sellars HBO movie. Although that might have had more to do with my indifference with the subject matter than the quality of acting itself...

I heard the Aviator is like one of the best movies ever made...

I am curious

As you can see, I didn't pick a whole lot. While Finding Neverland looked good, as did Eternal Sunshine, I have to say I hate most of this garbage that's up for "awards". Nip/Tuck? Please, it's a like a fictional version of "The Swan". I really hope I"m not the only one disgusted with American Culture....it's all hokey ass bullshit. Very little of what is made these days is worth anything.

Will and Grace = Crap
Nip/Tuck = Crap
Leo Decaprio = crap
A movie about a billionarie (The Aviator) = Crap
Paris Hilton =Crap (I know she wasn't on the list, but I really really hate her)
And aside from David Cross Aresseted Devolpment is crap too.
Sex and the city = crap
Horse faced skank that stars in it and her crappy gap commercails with crappy Lenny Kravitz = you guessed it! CRAP!!!!

I hate this country....well not all of it, just our idea of "celebrity". Sorry Jender...lol didn't mean to rant like that....it just needed to come out. =P

Carry on.

Shatner rules!!!!!!!!

Aside from having the past tense of shit in his name, he's just the man!!

I agree that most "celebrities" aren't necessarily talented...and the whole Reality Television genre makes me ill...but movies and TV to me are an escape from real life - which is what I desperately need sometimes...or even often. I have studied acting and performance since the 1st grade. It is the only thing I can safely say I have really LOVED doing (career-wise) I don't care if I ever get famous...I don't care if I ever get rich...I just love to act. I like being someone else for a little bit.

Anyway - I don't see why undeserving skanks like Paris Hilton or "blockbuster" lets waste millions of dollars on a shit movie like "Riddick" or whatever - I don't see why these can make someone not appreciate the GOOD shows/movies/actors that are among us.

Movies and TV make people happy...why piss on it?

I'm not saying the people themselfs are bad (with exception), I just dont like any of these shows/movies and really dont' think they are note worthy. Aside from cartoons (escape from reality with something non-real =P) I really don't watch that much TV. I think VH1/MTV/E! are the biggest waste of time and money and only keep this retarted media system we have rolling. I dont see how anyone can care about how much so and so spends on houses or cars....it's bullshit. Why do I wanna see how much money these people make for doing nothing while I"m busting my ass to make ends meat? More than 60% of famous peopel lack any real talent. I'm guilty of liking a very few amount of them...but....we all are. I just really really have grown to dis-like our little "15minutes of fame for everyone" media machine. Famous people used to be famous for a reason, now you're famous if you're rich...that's bullshit..

I agree with that.

I am sick of seeing talentless individuals who have the right "look" getting paid millions of dollars for 3 monthes of "fun" work - while most of America makes $12.00/hour 40 hours a week doing something they hate. These same peopel won't sign autographs for the fans who are the REASON they make an ungodly amount of money. /sigh

And Remember when "MTV" meant MUSIC TELEVISION....it had videos and news about musicians...not a million HORRID shows

 I fear for the future

/rant off

Have you seen her sex tape? She is not even interesting in bed  No clue how someone who lacks a personality - AND answers her cell phone in the middle of a romping session with her boyfriend, can be considered a sex symbol. ><

I think most of you have gathered that I hate most celbrities, but I have to point out one group that does desever praise, the Stand up comic!
So long as they aren't stealing other's materials, they are pretty funny, and they come up with their own material (most of the time). While most of this country's famous folks just spit out something other people wrote....gogo Dave Attel, king of all stand up!

Believe it or not, it DOES take skill to "spit out what other people wrote". Not everyone can act (this is proven by the O.C.). Acting is not just opening your mouth and vomiting out someone else's words...to help tell a story and make a fictional character believeable is challenging.

Now, now Jen, I wasn't trying to offend anyone, and I said MOST! not all, there are some truely wonderfull actors out there. I just think the majority are garbage....
