Goldsmither needs your help!

I am currently attempting to level my goldsmithing (level 51).
Since I do not have a lot of gil i thought i would post on here that I wold gladly synth gold ingots and level 36 rings for anyone interested.

I could try to synth higher level items as well, but i would need synth support and i will not be responsible for breaks.

Also if your on the gold ingot stage of goldsmithing you might want to look into farming gold orc masks. They dropped semi ok when I was this stage. You can farm them in a few places. # Castle Zvahl Baileys
# Castle Zvahl Keep they drop off the Orchish Troopers. I don't know if people still farm these much but you can give it a shot. These can also be farmed in Monastic Cavern and Davoi. Orchish Troopers only again. Like I said don't expect to see a mask for every orc you kill. Also I'm not sure how well you will Desynth since the recommended lvl is 52 so you might blow up a few. If I have some free time I'll come out and farm with you that way i'll Desynth and you take your ingots.

You also want to look into perhaps getting into some mining because this will greatly help. If you want the best success for gold ore you have a few places that I have found in my mining times yielded a lot of gold ore... then again... I lived in Oldton for about 8 months... probably more... Oldton Movapolos, Halvung, and the Grotto yield gold ore pretty often. You'll even get lucky and spit out a few platinum ores which trust me you're going to want to keep. Find a friend or someone with high alchemy who can make you some gold nuggets and in the future will probably be making you some platinum nuggets. Farm yourself up some gold ore because for every 6 nuggets and one gold ore yields one gold ingot. Trust me it's a lot more helpful then you may think.

Unfortunatly there is an RMT named aerine, that farms orcmasks 24/7 and has been doing it for one year... He is THF and full time hecatomb gear..

Not that I care much actually, since its not worth the time at the current price. I used to farm masks when ingots were 400k a stacks and got 12 for 5 hours of farming.

platinum ingots ( only the platinum nugget recipe is worth it), or if you just PL, mythril cuisse. mytrils ores are easy to farm from golems, and mythril cuisses sell back to NPC quite high.

i've tried the gold orcmasks but the drop rate isn't all that high, maybe 2-3 per hour. Currently i've got some plants growing to try to get some gold ores from there, and i personally have never had much luck mining, though i tend to give up after a few hours.
Suppose i could go buy some of the mining gear and take it up again.

Gold ingots synthed from gold ores seems like the logical way to cap out at 54, but after that i'm not too sure about how to get to 57-58 for platinum ingots.

The same idea i mentioned about the gold nuggets and gold ore, same deal with platinum. I'm just giving you old fashion ways to do it and honestly i have no fast or easy way to level it took me a looooooooooooooooong time to finish goldsmithing and things are 3 times less expensive now then when i leveled it. I did this:
dug up platinum ore
grew platinum nuggets on my mule
used ingots for better parts of late 80's early 90's of crafting.

I actually farmed moblumin ingots for late 70s, then farmed lots of golds till early 80s.

i kinda figured goldsmithing was going to takea long time to get to 90 just from the sheer cost of some items, i tried farming some gold orc masks in davoi today, actually went 1/3 on desynth so not too bad, may try to build some gil that way

I wouldnt even suggest looking at the 90s unless you are sitting on an enormous amount of gil and plan on power leveling it. I was your level about 4-4.5 years ago, if that is any indication how long it take the casual gamer to get to get to 100. (i took a 1 year break and im still 98)

After Gold Ingots from beastcoins, I did Heater shields --> Hydo Claws. I mainly farmed Ore Golems for money in Fei'Yen back then so the cost was break even NPCing. I did however keep a good amount for Guild Points. Not sure how the farming is in Fei'Yen anymore but farming all the golems and magic pots will get you alot of shards/Chest Key (which may not be worth it anymore since life belt is dirt cheap now)/mythril ore

This is by no means the only way to do it, but it is a nice way to level it if you dont want to have much out of pocket expense. The other guys in this thread gave some good options.
