It should be fine doing that though, I remember having quite a discussion about this, the final consensus being that posting that sort of thing in another board is unacceptable, but linking to a relevant post is fine. I'd dig it up, but I'm lazy. Just ask Cmdrfly I think.
 
Rannoch's link is just 1 concern. Future FB linking that would occur in the Fan Works section relevant to this thread, as well as some of the content of the raps, albeit entertaining, is also a concern.

I do appreciate that no one has jumped my ass over this. I was expecting some what of a witch hunt for moving it. I'll see what can be done... still waiting on further word from Jamal/Audino regarding one option.

Fuck you as well for not moving it until I was coincidentally out of town. Your PM to me last week did not say at all that it would be moved to the Flameboard. Now I have to hear the bullshit from Lucki, Kage, among others rather than letting the people that actually want to fucking read it read it.

Read my first post. It exonerates any flaming completely. Battling (which Aud and I, and later Gray and I) did is an argumentive token, where the real fun is found in making the insults rhyme with other insults. Nothing is meant to be taken seriously, as it fucking says.

Also, why don't you point out who reported it. I kould ghues hoo won of dem is fur sure.

No game for me this week. Wasn't going to log into QCDN either, but I had to hear about this fucking phail of moderation.

Marajade putting Rhianna into hear is the same as hip-hop going mainstream. Once you put it out where the 'normy's' will see it, it loses all appeal. Now its simply a show-off like everything else on this board rather than what it was, an exhibition of artistic talent meant to give humor to those who read it.

Basically, Audino doesn't see this the same as me. That doesn't mean he's wrong, or that I'm wrong. The entire moderation staff didn't contact me about the thread I started, just you did Arc. The other mods had viewed it, even posted in it. YOU moved it. Jam sees things different than I do, which is cool. My opinion on the matter is that it must have been a collective mod decision like most things and whoever it was that ran to them about the thread must have known the right person to whine to. Half the mods encouraged that thread and the other half didn't.

I'll probably never know who cried over the thread. The only thing I do know is that for months after the very first post I was still asking if anyone complained about it and still no one had. Looks like the crybaby musta been from a recent beef. I know playing FFXI/QCDN Police is a hobby for certain people out there..

I hope it wasn't the kid thats probably angry about me organizing dynamis schedules now.

I'm just gonna keep writing rhymes and try to figure a solution to get this thread cleaned and out of the FB. Looks like a blog might be the way to go, but we'll see. Gonna make sure Jam and I agree on the same thing. We don't need a blow up like 50 and The Game.

When it comes to admin'ing QCDN, I hate to say it, but I'd rather deal with Jyakotsu† than you. At least when he blows hot air he does it calm and collected rather than huffing and puffing until the house doesn't fall down. It has nothing to do the issues or the factual content, it entirely comes down to delivery. Your facts and action items are drowning in paragraphs of grammatically-adultered second-grade attacks like "you stink!" and "my mom cooks better than your mom!" making it difficult and unappealing to even understand what you're whinging about.

This thread has been controversial since day one. I participated in this thread when it was on Fan Works, and it seemed to be going somewhat ok. Nobody had complained about the thread; readers either took it in good humour or hadn't seen it yet. As Arc mentioned we (mods/admins) weren't really sure what to do with it, but since there'd been no complaints it seemed ok to leave it until it became a problem.

Well it finally became a problem, and here we are with our quarterly dramafest over a peanuts topic.

I enjoy the raps I've seen thus far and I personally would like to see them continue. Just because it's now a controversial topic on QCDN doesn't mean it should die. Start a blog or something for your parodies and link to it in your sig. Yes it'll be tougher to update, less participation from the readers, less views. More freedom, no constraints. There are pros and cons regardless of the outcome.

The cons more than outway the pros. The warning was so people didn't read it who didn't want to. I admitted their was controversial postings in the first thread. I said don't be offended by it. These aren't 13 year-olds reading this as their first porn site, so don't make that link, it doesn't work.

Moving this thread to the flameboard killed all the effort that was put into the thread. I self-moderated Aud's first posting for any conflicting racist language, and watched that certain unarguable bounds weren't crossed. The only real-life flame that was made was to Audino, and I really don't think he cared.

I freely allowed and encouraged people that took offense to the writings to write back in the appropriate manner, which did happen. Just because people reported this again due to prejudiced views dealing with a certain 'ghetto-lifestyle' doesn't mean you should moderate it from that aspect. This is merely expression of thoughts in a comical manner...there are things more offensive all throughout the Fanworks. The things some people try to call 'art' are simply laughable, yet I don't report those, as the people that make them obviously tried to put some type of effort behind them.

I did expect an outcry to occur, for the first week it was posted. The most intense postings occured in the first week, as we set our boundaries. When nothing was done there, the precedent to continue had been set. Nothing has been done recently to further it. Had anyone just started reading it, they more than likely skipped the first post and took personal offense to it. You've seen the reactions of the people who were called out in the threads, they liked it. By process of elimination I can figure out who it was that reported it, and frankly, you could have just told them to put me on ignore and they wouldn't see it.
