Well i was in this LS for about 2 months. This LS seemed like a good one mostly because of many lvl 60 and 70+. A few people had Rank 10 and they were always doing ZM stuff.

Now i will admit i am a noob as in the aspect of knowing quest, I am a RDM 52 and use NIN,BLM and WHM for sub... depending on what i am doing. i have a darkstaff but am still raising the money for a light. i am also rank 4 (I know i know i need Rank 5). So i admit i am far from a ELITE 70+ Rank 5.

Well since i had been in the LS i have gotten help from a few people helping me do G1 and finding many people my LVL to team up and help each other out. In return i have PL lower lvls helkp out when i couldnt really do to much ( PLD AF quest) and anything i could do to earn the help that i desired.

In this LS there always seem to be 40+ people on at once and is... somewhat a few weeks back i started to get annoyed (didnt say nothing) Members who had been in the LS where being rude to each other flaminf wars on the LS, calling each other names and talking dirty and just having a bad attidude.

Many peopel that i became closer to on the LS started to get kicked, i would ask tham "why are you not in the LS anymore" there answered were always the same and made no sense "I dont know? they kicked me and didnt really say much" I sat back in my chair and said thats odd something else happened, probly just embaressed!

One day i was on and started talking (something i never eally did, wanted to fit in) telling a story a little gross, about being sick and how the bathrrom made me feel better (nothing to big , i didnt think) a few people were like "Ah thats gross, man are you okie , ah stop now" .. i get a Message from a sackholder said "stop or i would have to kick you". i was flaming mad i said nothing else and went about my businees, a few people had made some funny comments about it.

Well i was Flaming mad and waited like 15 minutes... then decide to say something so i was like.

(ME) Who is to say someone cant say something?

(LS #1) No one i guess

(ME) Well who is to say what i say isnt right , when can i think my point of view is right and who is to say it is wrong?

(LS #2) Well i guess your point of view is never wrong if you think it isnt , its in the eye of they beholder.

(ME) Yeah i guess i so , so here it would be a sackholder, since they have the power and there point of views matter.

Not really a big deal considering all the nasty thing they said about what they would do to others mom what they thought of this person and just plain nasty.

*converstion continued*

(ME) so if i was to say Poop stain A$$ muncher .. Would that be wrong?

(LS #1) Lol thats nasty!

(LS #2) Thats funny!

(ME) Or if i said Ball Licker %&$# nut !

(LS #1) Lol .. Lol

(SackHolder) Stop

And i was kicked from the LS.

Now i am probly somewhat in the wrong but i feel he was taking it a little far , because of how nasty theyu talk back to each other i fell since i had no senority i was being treated diffrent, i felt so mad when they did this and i have not talked to the medertors since i was kicked.

This is a stupid thing to Write but i needed to vent and felt this was the place to do it

IMO you don't have room to speak, the people were probably being kicked because some people in the LS didn't like the language they were using, and when you began to say somthing of that sort, you got kicked yourself.

You were even given a warning. You continued to do it, you get kicked. It's pretty much your fault, you could have just stopped there and respected the LS/Sackholders opinion that he doesn't want bad/ugly language in the LS.
 
Well it SEEMS that you were kicked for foul language. Now i assume thats what the other members got kicked for as well. Honestly though if they were that quick to give you the boot i wouldn't want in the LS either. I mean if you cant talk about a funny or gross story that happened to you....thats not really serving the purpose of a LS as it is supposed to be for friends to unite and chat and organize things. Thats just my opinion.
 
Some of the LS members could have been parents playing this game, with children looking on.

The parent of an LS member was watching and the kid just wanted the language/topic to change for fear that he/she would not be able to play.

Sure, there is the wacky language filter but it doesn't pick up everything. Especially if words are intentionally misspelled, to avoid being filtered.

Or visa versa I often would play with my kids in my lap to spend time with them, my kids all knew my friends, my friends didn't know my kids were watching alot, but my kids often found end game things fastenating, or watching me craft high lvl things, or watching blow up millions of gil worth of materials
 
I thought the point of what he was saying was that everyone else in the ls was using bad language and stuff. But as soon as he did it they started getting pissy and kicked him. And i agree with Phoku. If they are going to be biased against certain members and/or kick for nothing then who needs em?

it seems to me the problem was he was doing it repetidly on purpose to envoke response to the Nth degree if you will, and then when action is taken against him, he claims, hipocracy or peer preasure ect. in his deffense, at least this is what I gather from this. But there are 2 sides to every story, and I doubt we will ever really know what happened.
 
Yeah yosh you are probably right. But from what he said thats what i thought the problem was. That is my view of thinks with only 1 side of the story.

I wasn't saying you were wrong :cry: No ones belifes or opinions are ever wrong. I was trying to insert my veiw about what happend, it was ment for constructive criticizm, it was in no way ment to be confrentational I appologize ;_;!
 
it seemed Flip was mostly quiet, kept to his own. he helped other LS members with things and vice versa. so not like he wasn't involved with the LS.

then it seemed he started seeing close friends being kicked out of the LS with no apparent reason. and when he decided to actually chat with his LS members, he got a warning from the sackholder because the story he was telling was inappropriate. he decided to test something out... and at the end he got kicked for inappropriate language.

i've played this game for almost 2yrs and i've been through maybe 3 to 4 linkshells throughout that time... the atmosphere for all those linkshells was always relaxed and cool. never rigid or quiet, but always playful and outgoing. and no one ever got kicked out for inappropriate language, because everyone was cool with everyone else.

i think what you need to do, Flip, is find a shell that's more relaxed and not so "ass-like" like the LS that you got kicked out from. i'm curious, as i always am... what's the name of this "sackholder"?
 
I am horrible at explaining things, my words run toghter, that and i am a horrible speller.

You pretty much got the drift of it, i dont know why the other got kicked, i honestly dont know.

But yes people who have senority always act out and the night i had a story i was warned... (maybe not a reason for what i did but other where worse and i was testing the system...) i wanted to see what it would take , i figured after i changed the subject about my gross bathroom story and started focusing on "point of views" , that i would get a negative attidude from the sackholder..... but 2 of the LS members where talking with me about it ... well where open to my opinion and we were having a civil dispute about it.

Your right i need a new LS.
 
Its called abuse of power.Eventhough i have been sackholders/leader of ls's i always considered it mean kicking ppl.Actually i'm yet to kick someone out of a party for not performing his job right or anything.I guess most FFXI players don't give a shit about kicking ppl,but i think its like taking away someone's home from him just because he was acting out of the way w/e.And yeah i've heard that "I'd kick u" line before and mostly it happens when a sack holder thinks he is suppose to kick u because u are acting very very stupid and rude but actually u aren't and that guy is just taking that stuff... beyond what its suppose to be.Also if u are in a LS that doesn't mean u have no right to express what ur opnions and jokes as long as it doesn't involve ls ppl.
But meh ppl take this game liks its a big fuckin life and death issue.. But yeah a normal person would actually get more missed when he hears "I'd kick u" last time i heard it... was when i was level 24.My friend was helping me camp leaping lizard and the linkshell leader had problem with it.But the good news is when he said u got 5 secs... i said "Kiss my ass" lol :lol: [Linkshell broken]
 
Just joined a new LS .. there way lower lvls then me and need stuff like rank 1-4 , will give me a chance tohelp out and then they can help me get rank 5. there not snooby and stuck up ethier .. thats a plus.
 
I was a witness to this conversation and the ensuing kick. I understand you were testing the limits man, but when you were told, repeatedly by several senior people, to just chill on it, you kept on pushing man. You also forgot to mention that they were kicking you for the night, kind of as a penalty warning for not listening when they asked you repeatedly to chill. Also you left out a large protion of the conversation, including a lot more of you pushing the bounds of good taste. You seemed pretty nice and intelligent, but if it had been my LS I'd have kicked you temporarily as well. You really seemed like you were trying to see just how far you could go before someone took action to stop you, and I guess you found out. I was wondering why you'd not come back to the LS, and I guess this post tells me why. You've definitely slanted this post to make yourself the "victim", and it's really made me lose what respect for you I had. :roll:
 
Well, I figure it's just the flow of the LS. Some LS's like to be super strict and orderly and basically all business (ie: Quests, info relating to game, game stuff). Then there are LS's that don't care what is said... this usually leads to the whole "I was in a LS where these guys were insulting me and taking shots at me..etc etc.. and no one did anything" and we'd have a flame about that...

Basically, there are many LS's out there and you have to find one you're comfortable with. Making an entire LS accomodate your personality and behaviour isn't going to work unless of course... you make it. See, our LS is pretty open with everything and even though we've had heated discussions (and I meant heated) everyone's entitled to their opinion as long as they respect others. So basically, it's sad you were kicked out of the LS but it doesn't sound like you would have stayed much longer anyways.
 
So arch any idea why his friends were kicked out of the ls?

I understand if he was being an ass and wanted to see how far he could go before being kicked, but what about the others?

ok the ls was askin that u plz stop and they repeated for 20 mins and when a sack holder asked u 3 times to stop and then said if u dont stop i will kick you you continued to say stuff referin to your a$$ and people then repeatedly asked u to stop then u got booted for the nite or until u stop talkin like that! then i log on and read this flame... hmmmm i was always tought that to get respect u have to give it and u were not respecting other ls members cant blame him for kickin u but he asked u to stop for over 20 mins spammin ls come on now flip u would have done the same if you were speakin respectively to member and they just kept going...... well all i gotta say on subject.
 
humm only stops i got asked where in /tell form ... from a sack holder and i waited 2 days and my pearl never came back up stayed broke. as for many sack holders asking me to stop i nev er saw that , but i did take screen shots let me find them , i have to figure out how to pull up screen shots.. but if it provews what i said .. then i must.

imust remind you that i am completly incompatent of spelling and figuring theses screen shot things out. but i will try.
