Good Riddance, MJ

I mean seriously... People are arguing MJ did not give to communities and charities? He is well known and its far beyond proven he has given more to charities then any other star ever.. He is in the freaking guiness book of world records for it lmao.. Asshats.

No matter how creepy or weird MJ was, you have to admit that he was one hell of an artist to influence not only the 1970's crowd, but to continue doing so even well into the 2000s.

Judging by the way he acted, it's hard to think of him sexually active with anyone, let alone a child.

lmao, seriously? So before he was an "ass" for "not contributing" and now that you know he did, you bitch about that too? You going to call everyone who gives to charity out for tax write offs? This is a perfect example of damned if you do, damned if you don't. You just like to keep waving your pitchforks.

Why would I call him an "ass"? Furthermore, why would I call him an "ass" if he -didn't- do somethin' I haven't done? Easily put, I wouldn't, and I didn't. When I spoke about his contributions, the first time, to be honest, I didn't even think about charitable donations, however, you helped me bring up a good point in pointin' those out. The fact that they don't fuckin' matter, not one bit, to a persons' perspective. When I spoke of contributions I was of the mind-set people were to carin' over somethin' that doesn't mean anything, that bein' his musical accomplishments. If I'm guilty of anything, it's not properly pickin' apart everything as thoroughly as I should have and normally do , nothin' else. In the end, you got both your answers so it doesn't matter.

I'm not sure why my opinion of the guy is so important to you. You can't change the fact that not everyone believes in God and likewise you can't change the fact that some of us care more about his person than his music and musical accomplishments. You can buck up and fukin' deal with it though, or are your feelings so fickle you need even more justification for -yourself- he was a "legendary" person -off- stage? Some like him, some don't, that's life and believe it or not it's the same for yourself and of course me and everyone else in the whole wide world.

Dude... what makes you think I was -only- talking to you? I was mainly talking to the person who flamed him for never contributing. Yes, you're lumped in there for saying he only did it as a write off. Your over all opinion is not important to me. The fact that people are posting lies as thruths are annoying to me.

I should've posted this yesterday, but I was busy. I didn't dislike Michael Jackson, but let me take this moment to get this off my chest: Seeing the non-stop day-long coverage and helicopter chase of the hearse, etc... they couldn't get him in the ground fast enough to suit me. Thank you, mainstream media, for tossing off to a dead celeb when more important shit was going on.

I'm so sick of hearing him refered to as a musician I could scream. I have personally never seen him play a single insturment. He was a performer. His music was shit without the dance. His music was shit with the dance, too actually.

Where was i going with this?

Oh yeah, Liza Manelli is a stupid bitch. (cause it won't let me type the C word)

Personally I couldnt really give 2 cents about the passing of MJ. While some of his music was rather entertaining. I am still unable to feel bad about his passing due to his actions in the past. Wether or not it was from money grubbing parents, or just a plain old F*$@ed up childhood, the dude was just plain strange. And it looks pretty bad/suspicious when you pay someone's family 20+ Millions dollars to drop the case on something as big as a molestation charge.

Don't get me wrong I'm not heartless, I'm sorry for his families loss and his contributions to charities were quite generous, but I personally dont see how the world is any diffrent now that he is gone.

Everytime I hear about MJ, I immediately think of this this line from Tombstone:

"Smell that, Bill? Smells like someone died."

I think the world full of faux-fans is starting to annoy me. He had no active fans for the last twenty years, that is, until he died. QCDN has a dozen life-long MJ fans, for example. I was browsing the early to mid pages of the "Muuuusssiiiicc" thread, and he was never what anyone was listening to, unless I missed one, pretty much ever. He's there a few times now, of course. Nobody ever talked about him, for his music, which is odd, because he was everyone's idol. I'm not buying it. Did every sale of Thriller on iTunes come packaged with rose colored glasses? It must be so. People can speak all they like now, and it sounds good, but what speaks louder than what people are saying now is what they weren't saying before he died. They weren't saying they liked Michael Jackson. I don't think they really did. It's just suddenly cool to do so now.

LOLOLOLOL

Bold 1; you must be kidding right!! He has millions of DIE HARD fans world wide, he has had more longevity in that sense than any other artist I can think of.

Bold 2; maybe you ought to look a bit harder. I KNOW that I have posted a few before all this took place. Dirty Diana FOR SURE, Don't Stop Til You Get Enough, Blame It On The Boogy (which is the Jackson Five).

You spoke out of turn on that one.

Bold 3; people are band-wagon jumpers

I haven't posted in this thread since it got split, I didn't want anything to do with this half of the discussion.

But don't you DARE group me in with your imagined majority of faux-fans.

I am a fan of MUSIC and have had nothing but respect for MJ and his career/talents. I know a few people on these boards I can say the same for. And just because people do not think to post a discussion on MJ or list a song they're listening to doesn't make them any less a fan or a faux-fan of which you speak.

Current events my friend are what is mostly discussed on these boards and this is no different a situation.

This a joke?

Every time Michael went into the public he had a freak show of fans following him. Even though he was still in debt, he still made millions a year.

His final tour was sold out in every venue.

Unlike the last 2 posts, I see exactly what you are saying and I very much agree with you.

Remember everyone, this is the thread to hate on MJ, you people with your tongue in his ass need to get back to the other thread. The two threads were split for a reason. This is the thread for shitting on MJ. We aren't crapping up your thread, so get out of ours.

There's a difference between being a fan of Michael Jackson as a musician/artist, and being a fan of his "celebrity." Most people fall into the latter category nowadays. If he had such amazing fans, why did his last album tank, MISERABLY, even after Sony Music spent upwards of $30 million in advertising and promotion.

Well Trippy, regardless of this being a 'hate on MJ' thread if I feel I'm being lumped into a catagory and basically bashed for having my positive outlook on MJ I'm giong to speak up. Whether you or anyone else fucking likes it or not. So eat it.

I believe I understand quite well what Pomp was implying in his post, and if you think it's about celebrity I suppose you read into it more than I did because no where in his post did he mention celebrity.

Unlike the last two posts blah blah blah. I could care less what this stupid ass thread is about. I'm not even that big of fan of MJ honestly. I was just responding that one post. By someone saying he still had fans was CRAPPING on an already crap thread then whatever.

Yeah yeah yeah, I know. Fuck me because I don't respect someone in death. Nevermind that I didn't respect him when he was alive. Never mind that I have given perfectly valid reasons for not liking them. Never mind that you are offending someone who is alive by speaking good about him. Never mind that I am not offending him (or anyone that actually knew him) by speaking bad about him.

You people need to remove your tongues from his asshole. He wasn't even that great of a musician.

Never mind that I have given perfectly valid reasons for not liking them.

I think no one has a problem with you because your really have given valid reasons why you do not like him. People wouldn't be posting if people would do the same thing as you. When people spew bs its when the problem starts. I don't care if you hate him or not but when people say he hasn't done any charity work, stole the beatles songs, and he had no fans prior to his death is bs. To be honest I don't care who people are talking about if there going to tell lies. If you hate him, there is tons of factual material to make fun of him or hate him for.

There are tons of fake fans though and I think that does make me sick. If your going to hate him in his life, don't praise him in his death. One big example of this is Perez Hilton. He would always talk shit about him and even said that he was faking his accident so he wouldn't have to do his shows. Then when he finds out he is dead he ninja edits the same post to say that the king of pop is dead and how sad he is. The guy who had the documentary about how messed up MJ was did the same thing after he was dead.

If he had such amazing fans, why did his last album tank, MISERABLY, even after Sony Music spent upwards of $30 million in advertising and promotion.

Because his last album sucked. You can be a fan and not want to buy shit music. Yea I said it, I guess I lose my die hard fan card.
