First part of this post should be in good times, second part is the flame towards Gowron.
So, last night the Dunes made me eat my words. I was in an amazing party that allowed me to go from 200 exp into level 14 to halfway through level 17 in little under 4 hours. The party setup was 2 rng (one being me), whm (new player, no sub, but he was good), pld, smn and thf. Oh and no, we did not have a PL (except for the last 30 minutes). We litteraly had no downtime for 4 hours and I can tell you, I was tired at the end of the night from pulling non stop. What we did was simple, 2 snpiers to build TP then a fly rinse and repeat. When we hit 15, the whm could even rest while we killed the crab so we could keep the chain going.
So to all my party mates from last night, thanks and congrats, you guys rocked!
Now..... this chaining did not start from the beginning... at first we were really having problems even getting to chain 2.... not for the lack of capacity, but for the lack of mobs (snipers). Everytime I saw one pop on WS, I would run to it only to see Gowron (46 rdm) soloing them. And there were probably 4 parties there on the beach so all the pullers would converge to the rare snipers and it became more a NM hunting then exp party.
Needless to say I was getting a little furstrated, as were the other pullers making /fume emotes. So at one point, I spot a crab north of the camp that just pops and I run to it, but whm was afk, so I have to wait, right by the sniper. almost as I get there, Gowron comes and pulls it with a spell from me.... :evil: I know, the sniper was not claimed and everyone has a rigth to it, so if it would have been another puller, I would grin to myself but let it go. But since this guy has been killing them all for close to an hour now, I walk to him and slap/moon him....
I get a tell saying that's what happens when you stand next to it for 5 minutes (which was 30 sec...). I answer saying it's not that, you've been killing crabs for an hour, every party here is pissed at you, go farm somwhere else for god's sake!!! He then tells me he is leveling archery!!!!! :shock: WTF!!!!! When I want to level a weapon at 48 DRK, I pick on brutal sheeps here or evil weapons in Qufim, no one exp of them and they will be glad you clear things. At the very worst, stand by Selbina and kill the gob trains!
So I tell him that.... he answered that crabs have best defense and they last longer, making it easier for him to level archery!! Again, I answer that people are trying to level here. Gowron: So am I! OMG he's an official moron now. I tell him: no you are not, you are trying to level a skill that you could do ANYWHERE but here and being a moron for ruining it for 25 people that walked 30 minutes to get here because they can't use choc or regional teles!!!!!
And I had /blist..... MPK is what I get for an answer. So I immediately place a call to GM, cause I'm pretty sure he would do it, hoping I would be talking to the GM when he actually attemps... what was I thinking, 16 call in line... lol
Sure enough, 5 minutes later, Gowron comes with 6-7 gobs on his ass and warpped right in the middle of us. I had previously warend the party so we all run away and live, but I see the gobs aggro the party next to us and I guess 1-2 died. :evil:
So GOWRON!!! You're an ass, you are the worst kind of stupid player I can think of (except gil sellers). Not only did you prevent 4 parties from gaining any exp, but you also tried to outdo yourself by trying to take away exp from those people (wich you failed miserably, can't even do that right).
I know we've had our disagreements here about farming in exp places, but leveling a skill, that can be done on ANY mobs ANYWHERE! Go to Carpenter's landing, there's never anyone there for crying out loud, and you can walk right into town from it!!!!!
