does it really take 5 separate posts in a row to say something?
waste.
I know this one dude that does the same thing.

OH OH OH!!!
Can I be it today prs?!
Oh hey. You're not hiding anymore after nearly selling out your friends because of your big mouth. Momma stop slapping it yet or at least show you how to use it?
They can either admit that one use of the word was okay in one thread but the same use (for comedic value) is not okay in another thread, which would render their argument invalid. Or they can try to come up with some kind of lame defense which anyone with half a brain will be able to see is nothing but a house of cards and will lead to the same invalid conclusion. Therefore, the choice is pretty easy: choose the path that causes the least discomfort, which is to blissfully ignore the matter altogether. Sorry, but the ad hominem defense has no credence in this situation.
Sophomore means wise fool. You're sophomoric. See, I can do that too.
A better argument can be made that the "n" word is simply a pure and unadulterated fighting word. Its useage will start a fight in the right place and at the right time.
However, for most if not all of you keyboard warriors, you express yourselves over the internet with no fear of reprocussions; you use fighting words in an environment where you believe yourself to be safe.
You are therefore a coward.
Your argument of "'they' can use that word so I should be able to" is equally specious. There has been a decades long struggle to change the meaning of that word, a word that carries a boat load of animosity, oppression, and abuse, and redefine it by its use and by its user. Its derivatives were introduced to bond a community torn apart by racial intolerance and hatred. You cannot claim membership in that community by misappropriating its jargon; to attempt to do so is foolish.
You are therefore a fool.
Does that help you understand your untenable position a bit better?
If not, I suggest you go down to the poorest slums around your home wherein African-Americans reside, and walk right up to a group of young juvenile males, and say, "What's up, my n******?"
Perhaps they'll give you the education I so long to see you receive.
Valandil said:My point is this, if you're going to start curbing some forms of insensitive speech and expression, then you better start curbing them all and doing in [sic]objectively, regardless of context.
Valandil said:Again I ask, where was this outrage over insensitive racial remarks in the LOL pictures thread? A thread that was started in September. Where was the uproar over RaiderX's picture on Dec. 8th, post #261 in that thread? You want this to be about people being allowed to post whatever they want, regardless of how insensitive it is, but the fact of the matter is you're completely inconsistent in the application of your own high-mindedness.
The reality of the situation is that someone came into "your" (I use the term your loosely because once you put something on this forum it really ceases to be yours and becomes public domain) thread and said some racially insensitive things and you took offense to it because 1) you didn't care much for the person to begin with and 2) you used the moderator actions in that thread as an excuse to go on some kind of social crusade. The historically significant aspect of all crusades is that once you actually start to examine them, the hypocrisies stick out like a sore thumb.
I find it extremely unlikely that this thread in particular would be in existence right now if one of the other more well-liked QCDNers had been the ones posting said racial slurs in said thread. If you want to eliminate bigotry, I'm all for it, but you better damn well practice what you preach and you better damn well be consistent in the application of your ideals.

No, the Bill of Rights does that.
Does that make me easy? You barely cooked for me at all and I stayed TWO nights. :/
Not quite, junior. The Bill of Rights is neither an international document(no one nation owns the internet,) nor does it grant you the right to publically display racism in any form.
I'm just going to assume you aren't out of Middle School yet and find it cool that you're using a word with public stigma, or live somewhere in the deep south.
I don't live in the south, I'm out of Middle School, I'm not racist, and I'm not trying to declare who owns the internet (where ever that came from).
Just saying people can say what they want, Darsha said a bad word.

Oh no.
Just move on, everyone says their fair share of things people don't want to hear, i guarantee you have too.

I know he is special, and I know he is my brother, but he needs to know that she cant go on my computer and post all these horrible things about Jamal. Stupid half-step-brothers. Damn them.
