Good times Threads

Could the rule enforcement there please be equal no matter who posts in the threads.

On occasion I've had posts deleted that warranted the deletion, however today was the same thing that happened to me. Rather then having the posts deleted, my entire thread was moved under the explanation that it did not deal with FFXI.

Meanwhile, 3 other threads on the front page of Good Times remain:
Singing in Vent
Commander Fly's thread
Scrubs

Please stop the deletion, its ridiculous. I have this copied and pasted so will continue to post until an answer is received. This is not a matter for PM because it is not one mod's oversight, rather the collective group.

Still waiting to hear which Mod it is that singles out my posts for deletion when attacking good times threads...

I was in a good mood when I posted the Hellstorm topic. I could have very easily flameboarded it and started quite a ruckus, but I thought it was funny, as did others.

That post didn't answer anything I had asked. This is where the angry posts come from. Stop tap dancing and explain to me why SCRUBS is in the good times section? I don't watch the show and personally couldn't give a flying fuck what happens on it, why is it still in good times?

The deleting mod must have a personal issue with me dating back to something that happened last year away from the forums.

It'd be a shame if he still held a grudge for that, I'd really be sad.

This isn't borderline hypocritical. There are two wrongs here:
If the mods believe:
A: The post was not FFXI related
Then other non-ffxi related topics should also be moved from Good Times.

B: The post was leading into a flame-bait
The initiation of the flame material made by Pasquale should have just been removed. The thread was made in good fun. Its not Good Times to me to see someone hit 75, someone beat Maat, someone kill KB (and make two separate threads for it), someone get good drops in Dynamis-Bastok, someone get full DRG AF, etc, etc etc.
I used to post my feelings in the threads that it had been done before and was hardly good times, but I took advice of fellow posters and just didn't read it. I now give the courtesy to these weak-ass accomplishments not to shit on them, and have had posts removed on numerous previous occasions for it to occur. Now that the same injustice was done to me (read, I know it was wrong) I only ask for the same treatment.

It’s easier to point out a problem with the rules in a PM in a nice and polite manner than to act like a fucking 3 year old and post random stupid shit in those threads. Waah. Waah. Someone call Cry-1-1. Some of you really need to grow up.

PMs don't do the justice of alerting the population to the cause. I did reply via PM, and fly responded he wasn't the one deleting my posts. The mod doing it behind my back is spineless and holds a grudge on me for a reason I think I just figured out.

I also shouldn't have to PM a mod to find out why they did something. Part of the courtesy of common business practice is to alert someone you changed something, and why it was changed. If they ask you why, you respond.

Its not a big deal. But the reasons given to me weren't justifiable considering other actions taken on this board.

I've mentioned it 3 times already, I don't care that he did it. That's why I put it in Good Times, because I thought it was funny. If you look at the majority of posters in the thread, they agreed. Two people disagreed, and as I said, they don't need to post in the thread then.

I was trying to think of it as funny, retrospect it should have been there. But it doesn't warrant the reasoning given in any right.

Ya know Jamal, I'll give one to you, the Scrubs thread and some others for that matter should have been in The Lounge/Off topic, and I moved it there because I admit there, you are right.

However, the real question is, does the thread have good taste? I mean sure, all of the ffxi good times threads are about achiveing something, completing a hard mission or quest, whatever. All in good taste. Whereas your thread was about hellstorm who rated you down. And I have a feeling somewhere in the back of your mind, you knew that this would happen, which would only give you a reason to bitch about "well my thread was moved and so and so wasn't."

Cause ya see, it wasn't in good taste. Sure it may have been funny to you and others, but in general? Nah.

Let's say we're back in January, the shell that you ran (Element) from what I heard went for over a month without claming a single HNM (love insider information!). Now while that made me all warm and fuzzy inside, I could have very well posted that as a good times thread, because it sure as hell was good times to me. But was it tasteful? Nah, cause I'm sure members of Element or friends, or anyone would be upset. Just like the thread you made.

Also make no mistake. I was the one who kept deleting your posts because quite frankly the best way to get a point across is to do just this, make a thread in the feedback section. Not bump threads with some stupid "lalala ffxi onry prs" child retaliation.

Did I answer any and all questions?

If I did? Good. If I didn't? I don't care. I'm terrible at this job anyway, right?

I would have had more respect for you had you publicly done something then sitting in the corner thinking man I'll get him by deleting his post.

I didn't good times when Element beat Jorm flawlessly on our first run either...because it had been done before.

Did I think Hellstorm would post? Most definately. It wasn't a flame by any means though, I just laughed at his approach which you share, to do things to make yourself feel bigger out of the public eye.

Since you posted about Element...maybe I should bring up why you hate me?
