Well, i know i have decided to quit in the past, but that was for shits and giggles. This time i am serious, and i don't really have any other option. This semester i decided to live off campus, and as a college sophomore, just the life itself takes up most of my day. Since i cannot afford to bring my car up till next semester, i have to take 4-6 buses a day back and forth. On top of that i have to do grocery and shit which is a pain in the ass when you do it on a bicycle. Lately, I've been obsessed with working out too, and i want to be professional something something which i am not sure yet, so literally at the end of the day, i have 2 hrs to spare.
FFXI is not how it used to be, it's even more time demanding now. Most of the people now consider gear to be the main source of accomplishment and i just believe that without ruining my future at hands, i cannot be as good at this game as i used to be. I had a lot of fun playing this game during my high school years and thanks to some aggressive people out there, who made things harder for me, everytime i accomplished something (Sea Sky Enter Dynamis etc) it was way more fun than it normally would be, for a normal person.
I was thinking about keeping my account semi active for a while but certain turn of events led me to decide that I am going to sell it away. I did a lot of partying and junk in my freshman year, and it had it's toll on my liver, which led me to seeing doctors every now and then. I am still not stable and trust me when you realize that there is a chance you might die, you try to make the most of your available time by staying around friends and family in real life. Thanks to our health system, i have to pay around 200 dollars a visit, and it's really hard for my parents to just shell out all of that cash for gaming etc ,along with the bills, and due to health / time reasons it's not in best of my interests to get a job. To make matters worse, i fried my motherboard / Processor not too long ago so i have to buy a new PC too, so i don't have to go to the library every morning. Dell PC-s are very un-supportive of upgrades or replacements and they literally rip people off.
I will either give it away to my cousin so he can return it to me later one day (Which is a high chance) or i might just sell it to someone i know (Not from QCDN - don't get me banned from here). Worst case scenario would be that i give it to someone who isn't really from this server. But i guess FFXI is a game with a learning curve which isn't too difficult to attain. And if it's on Ebay then i will make sure it's not a gil seller whose playing as wolfsky, cuz that's just disrespectful.
I thank all the people who did ZM missions with me, Farmed sky with me, EXP parties, Did stupid shit that made me laugh and last but not the least, bloodoflegends, the best group of people to hang out with. They did a great job of keeping one of the most experienced NA players together even after rough times. When i returned to FFXI, i sold my WoW account to my cousin but he gave it back to me.
To fulfill my gaming needs i still play WoW on weekend nights when i just feel like staying home instead of going somewhere. Wolfskymoon Rogue 70 on Magtheridon in case you want to chill. If you ever feel like talking to me then message me at [email protected], i usually stay in touch with amidamaru so you can ask him stuff too. I "might" re roll a taru "paladin" /dream but that's either happening 4 5 months from now or never. I don't think i'd want to start over, so well when next FFXI comes out, just let me know which server you guys are going to, and i will be there. I'd name people who i had good times with but tbh alot of them quit game like a year ago, besides few people who are still on my friend list. And blood of legends know already that i <3 them so i don't think i need to mention that.
Edit [ i also thank qcdn for keeping me busy during me free time in high school. And then in college i couldn't find anything better to do between classes but browse through the threads and poke fun at people].
