In a few days I'll be flying from New Mexico back to Oklahoma and back to my computer. I have decided to leave FFXI most likely for good. It seems most of what made me find this game to be the greatest thing in the world is mostly gone. The most fun I had was in my low levels. SE is step by step ruining the game along with the people in my opinion. I'm glad they have finally taken a step toward RMT but one thing doesn't make up for years of ignoring the players.
The game was once the greatest place in the world to me but now that is gone. It seems only people who have a full time job worth of free time (or more) on their hands can play this game to the full extent. I don't have that time anymore. I also never had many true friends or a real linkshell that I would always be in other than BoL and WindyWanderers so getting the things I needed/wanted to get done was nearly impossible.
Once I get back I will be busy with my cyberpunk rpg project and I'll be ripping the FFXI Tetra Master graphics and music in attempt to make an offline version as a side project. www.bigbagofthings.bravehost.com (I can't update it till I get back.)
I'll see how much I can get for my character, sell/organize items and mules, and switch to something that isn't so time consuming or has a difficult economy to work with. I played the DDO stress test weekend thing and loved it. I feel they did a great job at making it perfect for the D&D fans. I also plan on getting GW and the expansion. ES4 Oblivion is also something I have my eyes on.
Anyways, I had fun these years in the game except toward the end and hope I don't lose contact with everyone. Quetzy was a great server and I hope you guys work to improve it and help out the X-Box 2 guys. I may or may not come back a long time from now depending on how things change and the new content from the updates and expansions. I'll still check in on the forums every now and then if anyone cares. Until then, goodbye Quetzy.
