I'm sure many of you have met or heard of Vin over the years. He started playing with the NA release and like many of the vetran players has come time for him to move on.

Can can honestly say I'll never meet another friend like Vin. It's simply not possible for anyone else to be as kind and helpful. I don't know how many times Vin and myself have set out to do something only to meet a lower lv player in need. Everytime we'd see a shout of someone looking for help I'd roll my eyes knowing that person was about to show up in our party. Saying no just wasn't possible for Vin. He'd pass items he himself wanted for strangers he just met without a second thought.

I've had the privledge of knowing Vin a long time. I met him and hellscream, who sadly quit over a year ago, back when I was lving my first job. Since then we've static'd 2 jobs to 75 and countless merits.(I just couldn't get rid of him after I finished BRD)

Your leaving will leave a void in Final Fantasy that no player could hope to fill. The game will not be the same without you Vin. I guess my purpose of this post is for all those out there who knew Vin, this week will be his last so if you have any goodbyes for him now's your chance.

I guess the time has to come for everyone at one point or another. As much as I'd like you to stay I understand it's that time for you to move on with your life and I wish you the best of luck.

I remember lvling my PLD with his MNK and his friend Stiltskin (sp?) who was THF for a few consecutive parties. Very friendly player.

Best of luck to you Vindicative in whatever else you chose to play afterwards! Thanks for inviting me and Xean to those parties back in the 50's.

I will always remember stealing Ullikummi from him. Good times.

Oh jesus. I laff'd.

I fail to see what’s so funny about mpking someone at Ulli because you were out claimed. Save these kinds of disrespectful comments for the flameboard.

My memory is horrible but I'm pretty sure Decidence is recalling a time where we claimed Ulli underneath another linkshell when we hadn't killed the placeholders since we were undermanned. Not really MPK. And I'm laughing at the fact that Deci can be such a prick in any good times thread. But yeah, thumbs up for all the hard sleuth work there, Nancy Drew.

Vin was easily one of the most talented players I ever had the pleasure of meeting. I had already heard he might be quiting a few days ago, and I'll miss getting the occasional merit PT with him. One of the things I really liked about him was that although he was a great player, and always performed exceptionally, he would take a bad PT in stride and make what could have been a horrible experience into something enjoyable.

I've been in a couple PTs with him where I can safely say he was the sole difference between getting 6k/hr and getting 10k/hour, in a non-cannon setup. It's rare to have found someone with both the skill and class to compliment one another.

I remember exping with his THF I believe on my sam way way back in the day in the jungle and him being one of the first people that just owned big time. I used to be a gimp fucker and he was one of those people that made me realize I had a long way to go. Always heard good things about his skills, especially as ninja.

I can honestly say that I have never met and I'm pretty sure will never again meet someone in this game with as much integrity, class, and honor as Vin. Not only was he exceptional at whatever job he was doing, but he was, as Zal said, warm and welcoming to strangers and friends alike, went out of his way to be helpful and encouraging, and dedicated and loyal to the people he called friends. Vin has been the kind of person who made everyone around him better players and i'd go a step further and even say better people. I've learned so much from his example; have succeeded at many things because of his advice or his participation. It pains me to see him go because he's irreplaceable. A great leader, a wonderful person, and a true friend, he will be missed by many.

Was awsome to know you in the time i spent with ya in AN. Im sry things didnt work out in there for me and im sry for anything i did done wrong. I dont fall asleep in sky much anymore hehe ^^. I did look up to you as many others have stated. And i agree with everything previously writen 100%.

Was MY pleasure to know you. I wont wish you luck in life because i know you will succeed at whatever you do. Thats just the kinda person you are. You dont know how to fail.

You have my eternal respect. /salute

Vin! can't be true :(
As they said, you were awesome and just an overall great player. Loved AN as my first sky shell <3
Do what you gotta do bro and hope maybe you can come back :D
just maybe

take care of yourself Vin, I'll never forget all the fun parties we had in kuftal, or any events we did with KotC, they were all good times with you around.

i will miss the buttsecks... ok i lie, but yewah, he was a great person, always nice to everyone :D

I first met Vin when I was lvling my whm with his nin back in Gustav Tunnel. He was a very easy going person and always nice no matter what. Sorry to see you go but best of luck in any endeavor for you in RL. ^^

Vin is probably one of the main reasons I kept playing as long as I did.

Lv.50 Thief Ready to quit. Staticed With Vin, In the process met Zalbag. Got to 60.

Needed Sky Access, Vin popped up and lead myself and a handful of others to the floating continent.

Needed to get my Sam to 60(Technically 59) for my haub, Vin was there to take me form 52(?) up to 60.

Needed a tiny bit of Exp to cap a level out.. Vin popped up and duoed with me for four hours or so...

Needed one more set of merits to unlock Feint... Vin made a Merit Pt and got me the ability... And an extra Merit point too...

Mission BC's, Keys, Testimonies, Merits, 'last bits' of exp, Advice, EVERYTHING that makes this game playable. All the Shit peopel take for granted, all the "Chores" that we grumble about he was there to help countless people. Never once did he bask in his own glory, never once did he talk down to anyone, never was he 'half-assed' at his role in any situation. Vindicative was 100%, 100% of the time.

He wasn't one of the typical Junkies either. Not one of those people logged in ALL the time. But when Vin logged in, he logged in Running full tilt. Honestly, I don't think I ever seen him in a city longer than it takes to buy more supplies and move on to the next Hunt/Mission/Key/Skillup/Merit/AF/Test/Exp/Dynamis/Limbus/Farming/WSNM/Sky Hunt/God.....

Vindicative was one of those guys you always wished existed, and well, he did exist. My only regret is I couldn't ever think of a way to repay his good deeds.

To Decidence in particular, and for you dipshits that have fucked Vin in anyway and find humor in it. You basically are just cruel little people. Your true nature will always shine through no matter what you do in life, even something as simple as a video game. Congratulations, you are an asshole. You basically raped Mother Teresa and are now "lol111!!11 I got the s3x0rz from a nun HAHAHhahahahaHAHAha!!!111111111111!!1 I R s0 l33t" Go suck some high speed lead poisoning out of a rifle.

I remember doing WHM AF3 for myself and a couple others (forgot who) with him, Dzy, Onimusha, Dirtybird, probably Zalbag too! and others from that group of people.

When the NM was at 80% or so he used all his JA, SATA onto nobody and unloaded a 300 TP WS. The shadow turned around, smashed him once, then D.Death and that was the end of Vind for the fight lol

I haven't talked to him in a long time but I'm sure he's better at controling his hate now.
