I couldn't post for about 24 hours, and the only notice i got was a message saying the mods weren't playing anymore, and were banning people for 24 hours for not following the guidelines.

I was linked to two sites but they were both broken.

What did I do?

They don't respect the Whoopee... bastards...

Because you touch yourself at night.

I should have been banned 123478901632489016324 times between now and March of '06 then. x.X;;

I was banned for a few hours when I was upgraded to mod status due to quirky permissions. I never saw such a message, the one I saw was much more... professionally worded. It didn't mention mods or the game at all, simply that I was unable to view the website for one of a few reasons.

Do you have a copy of the message's exact wording? There's no details explaining what happened on our end. Was it happening from multiple computers? Did you change your login password recently?

I think I was too >.>

Hi there,

Starting after this PM has been sent, the current QCDN rules will actually be enforced. To most of you this will not mean anything and you can go about your daily business as usual, though I do recommed to have a look at the current rules, such as they are:
-QCDN Community Standards
-QCDN Avatar & Signature Guidelines

Some forums have additional rules that apply, check the sticky threads in those forums (as applicable) for further reference.

In the past I have handled issues by contacting the poster and asking them to stick to the rules, yadda yadda yadda, this has clearly not worked.

There will be no more warnings given.
Violation of the current rules will result in a minimum 24 hour account suspension, up to and including a Perma-Ban from QCDN.

et cetera.

I'm telling you dude, it's 100% the fault of "The Whoopee"

Get on the ball jo! lawlz

Right out of your hairy palm* Tim. silly timbo

D: you are still below me Kotsu... At least alphabetically lawl.

Jyakotsu> Kotsu in the alphabet :D

I didn't get a PM about new rules.

Maybe they just know I'll behave anyway. >_>

lol! True... But, when I was 5, I learned a great statement. 1st is the worst, 2nd is the best, 3rd is the one in a wedding dress. It's what's helped me get this far in life >.>;; making me #2! And there is some guy named Kotsuzai, frickin' biter. He = wedding dress. lawlz

I is immature! But I still love my fellow -kotsu'esque friend ^^;;

I thought the mods discussed reasoning behind banning people in the private forum? If it's not there, wouldn't this fall under someone abusing power?

Not to mention the whole..."rules are serious business" thing...
1. What the crap.
2. Why now?
3. ???

...95% of the forum is comfortable/accustomed to one another, and thus we -usually- know when others are joking/picking fights and such. Why the suddenly regulating out of nowhere?

There's no discussion for Jojojo on the mod forum. Name's never come up in any convo I've seen thus far. But I honestly don't know what happened, I can't check event logs (if they even exist).

Whoever sent that PM may have done it. Jojojo could and probably already has responded to him/her directly for more answers.

Fixed, because it takes a rock star to deal with this much drama
