Heya fella's. I usually dont browse forums or any shit like that, i take my gaming VERY casually, try not to let it consume my life. (seeing how it is only a game and will eventually mean absolutely nothing to me)

Regardless, i caught word that there had been some KILLER flame on some forum, so here i am. I hope you wont mind if i offer some type of explanation.

I had done from 8-1 to 9-1 the previous day or two with a party including none other than Teppo and Karlik and a few others, however, we weren't confident with our parties ability to take on 9-2, and decided to put it off for another day.
A few days later, i get an invite for 9-2, i figure, what the hell, i'll do it now, and be better prepared for when Teppo and a few other friends decide to give it a try. During the trip to Fei'Yin, i was glancing through the list of alliance members, and was slightly concerned with the level's of the members. so, when we arrived at the BC, i arranged what i deemed to be a formidable party to take on 9-2 (which i have obviously not done before, nor had i read up on it much) I figured, we'd take the best of what we've got in order to 'put our feet in the water' so-to-speak.

I had my party leader disband from the alliance in order to limit the amount of un-needed chatting taking place, so that we would not be distracted. Early in the BC battle, i get a /tell from my static RDM wanting to party. I told him to 'hang on, i'm busy, i'll /tell you in 10'. During the rest of the battle, i was contimplating what to do (i desperately wanted to exp in order to hit lvl 73, which i was VERY close to)
I ended up deciding to leave the alliance and go exp obviously, but this was my reasoning for doing so: there were going to be another 2 runs at 9-2, and my alliance consisted of 2 PLD's other than myself, so in my eyes, the tank position of both those runs was already full, and to accomodate me, those parties would have to lose either a mage, or DD, seriously gimping the party, reducing the probablity of success.

Anyways, near the end of MY 9-2 battle, my static RDM send me another /tell, asking where the hell i was at, and why it was taking so damned long. so, in my haste to get to jeuno, i neglected to send any /tells to the other alliance members, thinking that the 75 rdm that had done the BC with me, would be able to assist them, seeing as how they already had 2 other tanks. I was in such a rush to exp, i didnt even return to san'doria to complete the mission for many hours.
It wasnt my intention to "use" the alliance. i even met up with a few of the alliance members the following day, went with them to Fei'Yin, waited patiently through 2 9-2 runs, before i tanked the 3rd run for them.

in the end, all that really happened is that an opportunity to exp came up, and i took it. it was unfortunate that such an opportunity came so early in the whole 9-2 thing, but thats the way it goes. My appologies to those who i upset or offended.

its a matter of obligation, you obviously didnt have any xp planned for the night, or you would have declined the offer to do 9-2. I declined xp and a shot at going to the aqueducts for a subligar run to rank up. we spent quite a while waiting for people to get their mission and what not, and at the end of the night i ended up with jack shit. ya this game isnt everything, but my time is still valuable, and for it to be wasted like that is total bullshit. Imagine you are doing your pld af3, there are 4 people that need it. you guys do it once, then that person decides he is leaving and so do almost half of that alliance. you and 2 other are left with only 8-9 people who as a group cant take this out, but had the other people been there would have been able to win. would you be a little pissed?
take this game serious or not, when you are counting and waiting for something to happen, and then it doesnt because someone decided that they would rather do something for themselves doesnt sit well with me, and i dont think it would sit well with you if the reverse had happened.
next time you join an alliance i hope you take the time to think if you are going to be able to see that everyone finishes the objective of the alliance, and not just your own personal objective.

sorry

no, i didnt have any exp planned for the night, but i didnt have a 9-2 run planned either.
I already appologized for what happened. At the time i felt my decision was justified in that you already had 2 other tanks for your next 2 runs. I also assumed that the RDM and WHM from my group would remain with you as planned.
Whats done is done, and cant be changed, once again, i am sorry for what happened, take it for what its worth and lets put it behind us.
