Graphics settings for FFXI PC

I am playing FFXI on both my Xbox 360 and PC. Now FFXI on the 360 looks great, no jagged edges and really smooth. Now when I play on the PC, there are NO smooth lines with jagged edges everywhere. It doesn't look great to be honest.

Now I know that the 360 version has been upgraded with better textures and it also runs at 720p but is there anyway to upgrade the graphic settings on the PC version ?

I can't seem to find anywhere to do this.

You can futz with the registry to make many more tweaks, but I just set the options in FFXI, setup windower, and then downloaded polutils and setup the options there. Then forced vid drivers to do 16 AF, 8x AA, etc...

Not much else you can do though, fucking 30fps cap and limited model drawing pile of shit >:

you can teak your grapics card but its not for noobish people to do
 
Ghostinmyshell, that looks infinitely better than how it looks on my PC. I do have a question about windower. Can you get banned by using this app ? Also, this may be a stupid question, but what does it do ? Does it simply allow you to play FFXI in window or is there more to it than that ?

As long as you do not use time stamp (a plugin) you can not even be found out to use windower lol

all it does in window ffxi ie windower

At this time you can't be detected using it, but never mention that you use it in game. I forgot to set the option to turn off the TP% in the lower right when you take a screenshot.

Make sure you get it from an official source and be wary about plugins. It does a ton of things so you should read up on it. I only use it for the graphical fixups, ghetto fullscreen w/ alt-tab, and macro abilities.
