which great axe, other than mythic and relic, is on top? perdu V still up there or what?

I use a Perdu. Erlking's Kheten can get some pretty decent augments on it, too. With the best dmg+ augments it can match the latent on the Perdu, but I haven't seen anything with the same attack or accuracy bonus.

The Kheten can, however, get Double Attack X% on it, which would be interesting to parse with.

Edit: Can actually get 97dmg for base, which outperforms the latent.

As Lyall said the Kheten can beat Perdu in certain situations. When loosing the 5 Acc from Perdu drops you below the Acc cap I believe that's where Perdu wins, but when you can remain capped on Acc the Kheten with optimal stats can beat it.

That's the quest, you can get strats on that page, I think, and shout groups for them are a common enough sight.

No problem, and don't get discouraged if you don't get a decent weapon on your first axe. You're (hypothetically) trying to get the highest-available damage augment, so it might take some work to get lucky.

A lot less work than grinding up to a Perdu axe, though.

If you have access to Sky, Byakko's Axe is still decent. It's clearly outclassed by Perdu, but it's up there nonetheless.

I like my Byakko's Axe. I still use the Perdu Voulge however, depending on circumstance, but not too often anymore. It's a pain to get, but well worth it. :3

Perdu Voulge is better than Byakko's Axe any time you aren't saving TP over 100% for any length of time. Twice as much att+, more base dmg:, and an acc boost to boot...
