Man does this place suck ass been here for about 6 months so far and have about another 9 to go. There is a funnier side though its the small differences in the way ppl conduct themselves and live. For instance no matter what the house looks like (could be a cardboard hut made out of pizza boxes) it'll have a satellite dish on it. The soda cans here have the old fashioned pull tabs and they carry mostly every brand of american soda here. People usually think of Iraq as a gigantic crap hole but everyonce in a while you'll see something that makes you glad you came and most ppl will never get to see. So hopefully i'll be back to this god forsaken game soon until then deuces.

Thanks for your service man, and we hope to see you back here ASAP. Take care of yourself and everyone around you.

I'm partial to Infantrymen. I even married one.

Come home safely. :)

Im tryin to get shipped over there :( gotta finish my upgrade training -_-

stay safe over there n00b

You are doing great service Tullboy and I thank you for it. I hope that you come back home safely. :)

/salute

=) I am glad you've found some positives while over there. Hope you keep safe and enjoy it while you are over there, barring the crappiness lol.

Yeah crappiness is a good word but life gets better when you have some Iraqes trying to sing old american songs like Whitney Houstan and Celine Dion. The best one so far is when this one Iraqi police dude tried to sing Maria Carey Hero had me laughing for a couple hours.

I have NEVER heard an Iraqi singing Celine Dion!! Hehe. I agree with Tullboy though, every once in a great while there is a brief moment where you are happy that you are here. We do make a positive impact on these people's lives. However personally this is 20 months of my life I'll never get back and at least 12-15 for most every Army dude you know that has been over here. Keep it real brother, and hope that you get lucky enough to get wireless internet on your FOB like we did here, quite out of the blue.

I felt the same way about going to a mental hospital for five days.
