Well, last night in an insomniac episode, I decided to follow through with my idea to create a new forum for Quetzy. I purchased hosting space, registered a url (www.ammorpg.com) and everything. Not 15 minutes after the credit card transaction goes through, Pupusa posts these new announcements about him actually doing something. I don't mean to complain, I'm happy this site is being cleaned up, but now I have 5 gigs of webspace and nothing to do with it. I did look into their "30 money back satisfaction guaranteed" policy and I really *could* get my money back if I worked for it, but I figured I'd put it to you guys what I should do with a year of 5 gigs of storage. I'll probably make a FFXI subdomain sometime, regardless of this site, but I want some ideas for the rest of the space. Some other ideas are to host my friend's webcomic he's starting, and make a guild forum for DDO (Dungeons and Dragons Online) since my friend and I will be starting "guild" (dunno the term in game yet) at release (11/2/05). So if you have any good ideas, please post them, I might use them.
 
on a totaly un-related note, i'd be interested in an online D&D game.
 
you can make it kinda like allakhazam maybe or somepage with a hole bunch of item info , quest info , and maybe even maps of the areas! Have links to other various websites , Renkei (Skillchain) charts . Maybe job forums. well ya..

Edit. And Mara, this game is slated to be about 90% accurate (making up a figure but you get the idea) to the PnP game. It's gonna be a MMO where questing and dungeon crawling (including solving puzzles and traps) will be the major end of it, and there will be absolutely 0 grinding for levels, just like in PnP. Ideas like that make me want to start a galka of the month site. Posing Galkas in provacative ways wearing only minor armor.... Oh the humanity....
 
I think a chat thing will be implemented into the forum I create. I know it would help out immensely during server downtime where people hafta blow off steam about 8 hour updates.

I guess now I hafta do that Galka thing... oh well... :lol:

I've decided to at least make a forum and a chat room for us all, I'll try to make it offer some stuff thats a little different than QCDN to be fair to this community and not steal its thunder.

As a side note: Happy 500 post to me, happy 500 post to me. :shock:

love the idea of a chat. Also I would like to send you links to guides and stuff. Everything FFXI, crafting, coffers, elemental farming, NM Spawns, links to LS on the server one thing we dont have here that I whould love to see is links. 8)

I can do this for free.

I can make a permanantly controlled chatroom through AOL/AIM or IRC, just ask me.

I would be controlling it through AOL so I can eject people that might want to come on and spam the room, I have my own personally coded program for that :)
