Grey Rates

Nothing, they have no negative or positive action on your reputation.
 
Not enough posts/rep to affect you positively or negatively. I think if they're under 10 posts or under 10 rep then they issue gray dots.
 
Whats grey? Or i am the only one that spells it gray?

Well I checked it out... the minimum post count before having any effect was at 50. I've lowered this to 15.

edit: gonna take this opportunity to explain the rep power. 1 year, 1000 posts, or 100 rep = 1 point. So say I've been here for 2 years @ 12k posts and 1000 rep - my rep up/down power would be 24 (2 for 2 years, 12 for 12k posts, 10 for 1k rep). Unless you're an admin, then you're 30 points by default. Suckers.

My rates are worth piss all. I wouldn't dare cross my own self!
 
They're synonymous. Gray is the British/Canadian spelling I think, grey being American. Might have those backwards.
