The Knot
Nestled along the Black Tea Brook, the Knot is a central hub for Gridania and houses many useful facilities such as the chocobo stables and the airship docks. Being nearly the same distance from either of the two main gates the Knot serves as an integral social location and features a large flow of traffic, making it a popular meeting place for preparing adventurers.

Nophica's Altar

Acorn Orchard
Located just beyond the Oak Atrium, the Acorn Orchard is a child's paradise filled with balancing logs, snakewalks, and opo-opo bars. The orchard was originally created by the Carpenters' Guild to serve as a playground for the children of Gridania, many of which are orphans. It has also been a long-held policy of the Carpenters' Guild to educate the children of Gridania in the various properties and grains of wood through daily play.

Mih Khetto's Amphitheatre
The mythic amphitheater was built through the coin of the Miqo'te minstrel Mih Khetto as a gesture to her home nation of Gridania. A popular venue of the commonfolk, especially for Gridania's famous festivals, the amphitheater is well known for the surrounding trees and nearby pond that patrons claim grant incredible acoustics which lend a richness and beauty to song and dance unlike any other stage in Eorzea.

Wailing Barracks
Home to the Lancers' Guild, the Wailing Barracks also houses the Wood Wailers, stalwart warriors of Gridania who wield their polearms without hesitation to ensure the peace and safety of the city. The gaols of the city are also located here, securely housing those who have committed crimes that have wronged the forest or forestborn.

"In the hands of a master, the polearm will never allow an enemy within arm's reach. All the better, once you've lopped off their arms."
Lord Commander Swethyna, leader of the Wood Wailers

Quiver's Hold
Those brave souls who take up the bow in service to Gridania are known as the Gods' Quiver, and it is the Quivers' Hold which they call home. These eagle-eyed warriors receive their orders from the Hold, stationing themselves throughout the city's towers or prowling through the singing forest. The Archers' Guild is also located within, offering any who wish to master the timeless techniques of the bow the opportunity to enroll.

"An arrow's flight reveals an archer's heart. Straight or askew, fast or slow, brave or craven. So go on, loose one and let's see what you're made of."
Bowlord Lewin, commander of the Gods' Quiver

Stillglade Fane
The moss-covered walls of the Fane serves as home to the mystic Conjurers' Guild, who spend their days within a dark recess beneath the shattered trunk of an ancient arbor giant. The workplace of conjury is well known for the lanterns and exotic incenses that douse the location in light and scent, though perhaps even more noticeable is the near-tangible silence; a necessity if one wishes to hear the impossibly hushed whispers of the forest's elementals.

“Belief will not serve you in the forest. You must know that the elementals exist, as you know you yourself do."
Brother O-App-Pesi, son of the Twelveswood

Greatloam Growery
The Greatloam Growey was established through the generous endowment of land by the Greatloam family, given to Gridania in the name of Nophica, the Matron. The land has been tilled and cultivated for countless years and now sprouts forth a myriad of vegetables, fruits, and sturdy forest trees. The Botanists' Guild, housed at the Growery, upkeeps and tends to the land and ensures its continued productivity.

"Sun's sweet smile and wind's cool breath,
Both of these I send thee,
To ripe thy fruit and spread thy seed
And nourish those that tend thee."

Head Tender Fufucha, singing lovingly to her plants

The Oak Atrium
Resting peacefully upon the Black Tea Brook and home to Gridania's well favored Carpenters' Guild, the Oak Atrium was originally but a mere saw mill operated by a handful of woodworkers. Today it is a spectacular landmark of the city and a front for the many artisans of the Guild, both experienced and upcoming.
