Grifftron, a good friend

This is something I've been thinking about posting for a while now, and now seems as good a time as any.

This thread is a long overdue tribute to a good friend and great comrade in arms, Grifftron. The sheer volume of people who know and like this guy speaks for itself.

For those of you who don't know him, he can be summed up as one of the most generous, helpful, honest and likeable characters on Quetzalcoatl that I've ever had the priviledge of meeting.

This guy has given up more free time than anyone I know in helping others get items, quests and missions accomplished, and never askes for anything in return. He's a first class organiser, and an unselfish group member.

He's on a short list of people I'd trust with all my items and gil, Ixiaivaifrit, caelan, supahkhronic and a select few others make that list too, they know who they are, mainly members of my extremely tight ls Vanadielknights.

Unfortunatly I don't have much time to elaborate further, time is against me atm, so in closing I'd just like to say to whoever may read this, if you ever see Grifftron around and he needs a hand, or he's lfg and you have a spot, or if you just need a good clothcrafter, /tell grifftron, he's in the exclusive 5% of people playing who isn't all about himself.

Grifftron is definitely a stand up guy. I first came into contact with him when he started asking me questions about Dragoon and how to make himself better. Not only has he made himself a great Dragoon going above and beyond any advice I gave him, but he has also maintained an attitude that is great to see in this game. He is one of the few people I actually trust, and have given him items he needed on Dragoon and allowed for payments on said item to be paid over time, just because I can trust he wouldn't screw me over and not pay. I look forward to reaching his level on my bard so I can party with him and see how Dragoon is and always has been great to have in a party if done right. And Grifftron has definitely done it right lol ^^
 
is this the grif who is 63 drk and 60 something thf now? well he is a great guy and helps alot spent 5 hours on VE for me :P and well says thank you all the time, even if all you give him is 10mins help or 200k or something ^>^ nice guy to be around
 
Grifftron... I've heard the name and seen the person, but I have yet to actually run into him or even talk. Though just from hearing this, he certainly does seem like a nice person. I'm sure I'll eventually run into him, whether it be partying, Dynamis, or something other. Until then, good luck at whatever you do, Grifftron.
 
But... he's old.... and english.....

nah, Griff and I have been friends since we first started, we went through the dune together, been in every ls together, started crafting together, done CoP together, farmed hundreds of hours together, he's like the wife I can't get rid of.

I just hope this thread doesn't lead people to try and take advantage of the old dogs good nature, he is a very generous guy, with his gil and his time, I'de estimate 60% of his time has been spent in game doing coffers for others, fighting NM's for others, crafting for others, missions for others, etc. He will go to the extreme to help any new player. Most the folks in my ls have HQ Grifftron gear..... I assure you they didn't pay for it.

He is one of the better and more alert players on the game, great at improvising, only DRG in the game I trusted to do Under Observation with(4 wins by the way). It's a bloody fucking shame he can't get an invite on DRG anymore, spent hours upon hours helping people on the job, getting shit done for them and then when it comes to exp parties some idiots still think DRG's suck.
